'16 SC RB Tavien Feaster

I'd say it would've been a tough pull anyways and now I think there is almost zero chance. I think Butch is capable of just about anything but there is just too much to overcome here especially if we're taking another RB.

This was all orchestrated by Butch to get Carlin on board. Butch put fire under him called Tavien. :)

I won't give up on Butch just yet. I did it with Richmond when he reaffirmed his commitment and he ended up a vol. I understand you guys have been recruiting the kid since 8th grade but Butch is a deadly recruiter. Hell I didn't think we would ever even get Feaster on campus. Butch will stay in his ear. Will we get him? I'd give it a 10% chance that we do. OV is still very important.

Players can flip before February and so can coaches. If Feaster makes an OV and says he wants in but wants to be the only back like promised, CFA will be looking around.

if someone offers a free trip to SC ill take it. a bad day at a crappy beach is better than a great day at work. i loved charleston when i was single, and didnt care to sleep on a crappy couch.

Got some stories about wandering around aimlessly on King St. But, thats for another time.

Personally i prefer FL beaches. 1/4 the crowd, and, far enough away from dumpy neighborhoods.

Charleston was great to visit. lots more to do; lots better looking women. but as i got older, i noticed that the surrounds were dilapidated, and much is dangerous to be honest.

I was stationed in Charleston and the locals were really stuck up other than the Alumni club. I got a better than thou attitude from a lot of locals. King St was fun for a bit and Market at was fun to chase women and get drunk. I still enjoy the beaches in NC over SC.

Pretty much agree with you, but if you EVER get a chance to stay on Daufuskee Island, SC you need to go. Pretty much a private island: secluded/exclusive; have to take a ferry over from Hilton Head. Better than Nice.

We probably stay in contact just in case something were to happen like CFA flipping on us but I would say we are pretty much done with RBs for this class as long as that doesn't happen. IMO the staff made one last big push to Feaster and let him know we got to have a really good idea about where we stand because our next guy in line is going to announce the following week. This is probably what really caused the confusion and forced him to quickly reevaluate where he stood with Clemson including setting up a quick visit with Clemson staff.

You have to take the sure thing in CFA and move on. It sounds like mom was going to always push Clemson and be a major road block so it doesn't make sense to waste resources when you can get another guy you feel is in that top A group

Place went bankrupt a few years ago. It's financially unstable unless they sold the resort. I didn't like it. The fairways were crap, the pool was mediocre and the beach was meh. Just my opinion, I'd take myself elsewhere.

He's an EE, so he would have to flip before February. P Fort said we have 20 spots now. May be looking at another RB. I think our chances decreased with Feaster with CFA's commitment today, but that doesn't mean Butch and co. will stop recruiting this kid. If we get an OV, we still have a shot here.

This kid is a great player. Hope he comes here but wish him nothing but the best of luck in the future.

Clemson fans on that board need to chill out. They should take a lesson from Palmer.

Just because a kid looks around doesn't mean someones cheating. I bet that staff reevaluate how they handle his recruitment from this point on.

My family goes to Ocracoke Island, NC now. I love the local vibe. But it is a ferry you to a secluded island type place

This. my family went there in May. And we already want to go back. I would love an excuse to get paid and stay there

Just came back from there. Everything is wonderful. Stayed right on the beach; like it was my own private beach. Nothing "mediocre" or "meh" about it. But by all means, take yourself elsewhere.

I agree with the poster earlier.
I am sorry but an elite back like Feaster isn't afraid of competition. I think he also knows that any back needs relief periodically. If he came he could be the lionshare of a two headed attack alike this year.
Its a long way to go. He had too much enthusiasm after OCD to bag it.
I would keep recruiting him. If we have a good season, and if we get him on an OV, I would think there still is a shot.\Woud love to have two thoroughbreds in the stable.

Clemson dodged a bullet

I don't think Clemson dodge anything here... what I think is aime, got scared cause feaster had an excellent trip, aime seen it got scared and committed, I think if feaster wants in, he's in and aime is looking somewhere else... but that's just me.
