'16 SC RB Tavien Feaster

You guys act like this is over. Butch put the full court press on this guy over the weekend for a reason. Don't fool yourselves. We may only take one back, but if we do then I'd bet it's the best one who wants be a Vol. Bird in hand boys, then let the chips fall where they may.

I don't think Clemson dodge anything here... what I think is aime, got scared cause feaster had an excellent trip, aime seen it got scared and committed, I think if feaster wants in, he's in and aime is looking somewhere else... but that's just me.
I don't know about "scared." It might have been a 1st come- 1st serve proposition given to both of them, and CFA was ready to jump on it.

If we tear it up in the SEC this year, as we have the weapons on both sides of the ball, to do...I expect things will change on this front. Rather than taking just one, I could easily see us taking 2, regardless of what they were told (about us going with only one).

We had a similar situation last year, at QB. Only taking two. But the staff knew Peterman was probably going to move on, and that's when we took a 3rd QB, in Sheriron Jones.

We've had a couple of roster spots open up, recently, and probably won't be done in that regard, by the time NSD rolls around....so we may end up taking close to our full allotment of 25, anyway.

What's more is, Hurd and Kamara will probably be gone to the NFL after the 2016 season. So, if we should take CFA and Feaster, it won't be like they will be looking at a log jam for the next 3-4 yrs. After their freshmen season, they would be the starting tandem. And with injuries always seeming to crop up from time to time, at that position, it's highly likely that one or both get a good deal of playing time as a true freshman.

Pretty much reflects my sentiments, exactly.

A bird in hand is better than two in the bush. But, I don't think we'll go with just one. We can say that now, but both Hurd and Kamara will be gone to the NFL after next season, and that would leave the RB position very thin.

I think Kelly and CFA are good backs, but I'm not sure either would be considered feature RB's. So, regardless, I can't see us backing off of Feaster one bit.

Did Jones tell someone that he only wanted one RB in this class?

He took 3 QB's at a position of extreme need on NSD. I don't think two RB's is a stretch, is it?

Feaster said CBJ told him he'd be the only RB in this class.

Do we have a quote from CFA saying that?

Four-star running back Carlin Fils-Aime of Naples (Fla.) said Wednesday night he will announce his college choice "Friday or Saturday" and that Tennessee currently holds a slim lead over Auburn.

"Those are my top two," Fils-Aime told AuburnUndercover. "Tennessee is ahead of Auburn. It's pretty close. It's actually pretty tough."

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Fils-Aime is the No. 10 running back in the 247Sports Composite.

He visited Auburn on July 17 and the Vols six days later.

What has Tennessee in front?

"Just when I went there, it just felt like a perfect fit and my parents even said it," Fils-Aime said. "They went with me and they agreed it would be the perfect fit me for. They said I was more happy -- my expressions were happier than when I went to Auburn or any other school we went to."

He added, "They said they are only taking one back -- one back -- this year and they want it to be me."

Thank you

Kevin Mouhon, Marques Ford. It happens. It sucks.

Edit for those who can't read my mind for making that comment. Hypothetically if Feaster wanted to commit but told Butch he wanted to be the only back. What do you think would happen? I'm sure Butch could convince him that with his talent that he would surely be hard to beat out, but he is a 5* super stud and we know how they regard themselves. Hopefully that only applies to WRs
