Its a great get as of now. We will see in with another year if he is a UT type of player. I'm excited that we have him.

He's not all that young. He's a 17 year old sophomore. His issues aren't because of his youth. There are plenty of young men his age who haven't created the issues for himself that he has.

Always fought the coaches and his teammates. He wouldn't have any part in any coaching. He wouldn't accept help from anyone. What got Darel kicked off the team was he jumped somebody. Just read this thread. Those comments are in here.

We all want our fellow volunteers to be successful. When they show they are incapable of changing their ways, cut the friggin cord. We have too many high quality people on our 85 to destroy it with one cancer.

Just wanted to know what you guys think. You think he is a TE or DE in college. His highlight film is great and he looks great at both positions. Just wondering?

Not going to happen. He was told that to have any chances of playing at Powell he would have to go through off season workouts and spring practice under the new coaching staff. He didn't.

Still lots of rumors out there about where he might end up, but nothing substantial. Of course, with his academic issues he might not be eligible to play anywhere this fall, anyway.

Worth noting that his brother (same class but younger) did go through off season workouts and spring drills with Powell and plans on playing for the Panthers, depending on when and/or if his family moves in to another zone so Darel can be eligible if he has his academics.
