Hearsay that repeated itself 50 times. There are millions of kids like him who never turn it around. It's more likely he does not turn it around like Janzen Jackson.

Look at the kids behavior, then tell me what you think. We hear about the turn around stories because they feel good. They're also not too common. I would love to see more stories about the ones who didn't turn it around, so others can learn from them.

Well if his new HS coach is giving him a chance, I say let's see how it turns out. Maybe he continues with his "issues" and maybe he turns the corner maturity wise. Hopefully he gets things right this time if given another chance. The kid could be a very good get in 2016. It's up to you Darel.

Amazing to see people get on here and criticize people from Powell who know what they are talking about. Those who criticize do not have a clue.

I have been attending PHS football games for the last 15 years and hope that Middleton can turn it around. But I have seen nothing to suggest he will be successful over that last two years with two different coaching staffs. The players are tired of his antics.

This conversation is really the most ignorant thing I've read on here which is saying a lot. Not everybody is the same person at 18-22 that they are at 16. Yes he's supposedly had his fair share of problems, but there are college players that were arrested in HS that turn out fine. I've seen that first hand.

No horse in the race here, but I think in the past, several of us just were shocked at some of the venom from a couple of the Powell folks.

Your approach should be the only one to subscribe to. These are kids who can be aholes and will make mistakes. If you don't give them the chance to surprise you, they never will.

Saying this and saying "he's a thug he will never make it" or "he will probably join a gang and kill people" is different. I respect your opinion but I'm in wait and see mode. I've heard tales but I've personally never seen anything. And if he's so "thuggish" who's to say he takes academics seriously? He may not qualify. He might qualify. Who knows he's just a junior in HS

Some posters post thousands of posts when they don't have any info or knowledge of the subject matter of which they post. Maybe this poster limits himself to a subject he is close enough to have some knowledge on what he posts? May be a parent of another player on the team or someone close to the program.

Some posters have reading comprehension skills that help reach a conclusion. This kid has a repeated history of being a total nuisance to his team, his coaches, and his community. His behavior should not be tolerated no matter the age. They will become a part of him, if it isn't already, if its accepted with an excuse.

Look at Jocquez Bruce for a good example of what a vol should be. You're right about Butch not taking poison.

I think you misinterpreted my post. Maybe I didn't word it well but I was defending the poster that brought the latest "negative" news on Middleton. I agree with your post. Some "excuse" bad behavior too easily IMO. Sure kids make bad decisions and make mistakes. But when there is an ongoing pattern of behavior....well that tells me that it is more than just childhood foolishness and more likely an underlying character problem. As a prison warden I have some experience in that area. 32 long years of it.
