I don't see his skill-set or size allowing him to transition to a LB at all. He would really have to transform his body & improve his speed to ever be a LB at the college level, IMO.

I think he will end up at TE if he had the hands. We've gotten several good DE recruits as of late. But I'm not to high on Oliver(the TE we have for this year).


I think he'll get a Red shirt year if he's a DE, but is the 3rd TE his his freshman year if he plays there.

There was Buger, and ...another poster... who had it out for this kid. Funny how when he's acting up they want to trash him straight down the street, but when he is getting the job done and working hard they are nowhere to be found.

The simple fact that you would root against a kid and call him a "thug" among many other names is just pathetic behavior for an adult IMO.

Man, I think Oliver has huge untapped potential to be an excellent TE. But, I am afraid he isn't a Vol on NSD.

we officially have removed darel middleton, the three-star tight end from oak ridge (tenn.) high school, from tennessee's commitment list for the 2016 class.
Middleton has some academic work to do, and it's our understanding that the vols don't consider him a part of their 2016 class at this point.

My cousin plays on the football team with him. Says he hasn't been in any trouble at oak ridge and I qoute " a real chill dude" hopefully he can get his grades in order he is a great athlete.

Coaches will have to be a little more picky this year with the reduced number of scholarships available.

If this kid plays to his potential and keeps his nose clean then you find someone else's scholarship to be "picky" about.

It depends on how things unfold, but I think this guy wants to be a vol. He'll have to convince the staff that hes willing to put in the work, and not be a distraction. imo he'll be a heck of a TE anywhere he goes.

I still have him listed in the '16 Curent Commits/Targets thread, however, some think his offer has been withdrawn. We'll see how the year goes. It may become more clear as the cycle unfolds if the coaches still plan to take him or not.

go figure Bama offers AFTER he screws up multiple times......so much potential with this guy on football field but with limited numbers and not lacking for interest then I don't blame TN for passing.
