All the cooling reports I read in here were just from people who already had a grudge against Darel for beating up some kid years ago. That paired with news of other attitude related problems with coaches and teachers lead most people to assume he was no longer a prospect. It does appear lately that he got his stuff together. I've heard no official announcements, but it seems to me that if he plays well enough and displays a good attitude and ethic going forward both on the field and in class then there's still a chance for him to have a committable offer.

staff moved on long ago and took stud TE Brooks out of DC.

Performance: Middleton is a huge target for quarterbacks. He is tough to stop once he gets into his route. Middleton made a number of plays down field, including a long touchdown after catching the pass on a post route over the middle. It was impressive how fast Middleton was with the ball in his hands.

Bruh

He's like 2 years older than his classmates....track record of disciplinary problems...multiple suspensions...kicked off more than 1 sports team while at Powell, finally transfered to Oak Ridge....

I get it. You like him because he's a great athlete but you're refusing to see the facts here...this kid is talented but he comes with A LOT of baggage.

May be thinking of the AJ Morris guy. Speaking of what is up with him?

He stood out as a freshman because he was big, fast, and played like a full grown man. I think he also had a good showing at a camp. He's packed on some 50lbs since his freshman year (according to Rivals profile). 6'0 250. He might get a lower tier offer to play LB or DE somewhere..

It was the parent of a teamate. I know him personally. His screen name was jps something. Is info was legit.

I feel like hes ours if we want him, but....do we? We would probably have to miss out on alot of DE's to take him.

We would like him as rush end in the defensive side of the ball. We are also monitering his progress on the offensive side of the ball as he plays TE there. Darels natural position is TE but he is being sold at getting his shot at that position with the potential of moving him to a DE position.

With the Brooks news, is this the best backup option at TE? If Brooks recovers fine we could still move Darel to DE. So it wouldn't be a wasted spot, unless his character issues come back.
