I did hear a rumor that Joejuan is dating Derek Mason's daughter but I have no clue if true and don't plan on trying to find out because that would be kinda weird.

Come on Mason, surely you aren't that desperate to land a recruit :eek:lol:

So does that make Mason's daughter the D-coordinator?

UT or Vandy?

"Right now I would guess Vandy. Not sure how hard Vols have been pushing."

- Hubbs

Hubbs has been a little IDK "weird" for a period here. Fort gave us a completely different feel on Kyle Davis as I remember. I cannot see how UT wouldn't be pushing hard for this kid. Maybe we get him, maybe we don't but I cannot imagine not putting in a full effort on recruiting him. JMO.

Yeah that doesn't make much sense. i recall JoeJuan saying before Butch and him talk every Sunday. I guess things could have changed since then but I doubt it with as much emphasis Butch puts at instate recruiting. It's really odd that people within same company are saying different things. I would think they would talk about it so they were on same page

Seems like he's lost track of some of the recruits this cycle. I almost look to see what Fortenberry has to say over him at this point.

My guess is that as we get closer to decision time, Fort will move towards Hubbs' line of thinking. Hubbs is still the best in covering recruiting.

I've said before non factors shouldn't be discussed and that is what the Commedydores are. The thing to worry about is his upcoming visit to LSU next wk. But to say the least o think he's UTs to lose per our conversation today at the barbershop.

There you go...there you go! White men always want to talk about Rocky Marciano!

His momma called his Cassius...that's what I'm calling him!

Oh I know it will not happen, just wanted you guys opinion if he could be successful here.

I think Mason could be a great DC for us. I think the hoopla about not having personnel for the 3-4 is overblown. Sure, the transition year might be a little difficult, but the progress he's made with Vandy's defense (which has a fraction of the talent ours currently does) is really impressive. Our problem in 2012 wasn't a 3-4 defense, it was a DC who was in deep over his head.

Mason's track record as a DC speaks for itself. I think he'd be able to figure out how to scrape together an impressive defense with the talent we have.

But, like a previous poster said, it won't ever happen. I'd be giddy if it did, though.
