He's closer to 5'9" 175 but I still see Miller as a very good lock down corner for us
Listed at 5'10 179 in high school and you have to believe the weight is up. Our nutritional staff works wonders. I haven't precluded him being a solid corner but I think he's more flexible than has been ruled out on here. Saw him in high school and he lays the wood...this isn't a shy flower.
I don't see safety at all. Was a pure CB to me coming out. Abernathy also looks like a CB(even though he has the size for the move). Gaulden is the only one due to his physicality but he's a CB to me too. I don't think we back off a DB of this caliber.
It's not that UT doesn't want him, according to Callahan. It's that Tennessee feels it is chasing other teams, such as Vandy, Auburn, and maybe Texas A&M was Callahan's thoughts.
Other things he mentioned:
You might have missed it, but I mentioned a couple times recently that Micah Abernathy, Rashaan Gaulden and maybe even Darrell Miller are looking like future safeties. It's probably not even out of the question that Jauan Jennings could move to safety in the future, so Tennessee feels it has a few options there. With that in mind, where the Vols primarily need help is at corner.
Sometimes I think these guys just make up news these days. 247 as a whole network is nice but Hubbs/Brice/Fort are much better resources for vol info. I don't know what they say about this stuff but I just take anything I hear from Vol 247 with a grain of salt. Very lacking in info. Tends to just feed off what other teams in recruit race are saying
It isn't even close. I can't believe people pay money to have access to We$ Rucker.
I don't think he's on that level personally. That's a very special player. At his size he needs to be a freak athletically to play safety. And RBs are bigger now than they were when Honey Badger lined up.
