Wonder what this means for Bituli? I always figured he was higher on the LB board and I'm not even sure we take two.

Was there a nugget in the WR?

Yeah per VQ, UT is the team to beat heading into the announcement. Strong relationship with Elder and Drew Richmond. LSU and Ole Miss look to be factors, but UT should win out.

VQ thinks this class will be no more than 18. So just 1 LB seems about right. As for Bituli, UT has been the frontrunner for a while, but AU has made a strong push recently.

Interesting. I would think we would still take Bituli. So they either will attempt a blueshirt with one or they are tired of waiting on Bituli.

If Butch can get a guy to blueshirt with Ole Miss and LSU offers, well then he's an even better recruiter than I thought.

Agree. Plus, next year's class already looks to be loaded with options. I don't see them cutting into it. If anything, I see this class being on the smaller side, giving them room for more than 25 next year.

Indeed. With the instate talent coming in the '17 class, and the fact that we're in on every single top 10 recruit in North Carolina for the same year, we could easily have 3 or more 5 stars in the '17 cycle. It has the POTENTIAL, mind you, the potential to be one of, if not the best class in school history.

100%. If they have an awesome season on the field this year, they'll be unstoppable in recruiting. And there are some big names in the mix for 18' too. Its only getting better from here.

I like this guys tape, seems athletic enough to move around, to outside or middle. Seems to love contact and can make a good tackle. He just needs to get stronger and put on some weight. With our strength program this shouldn't be a problem. Having a 6'1 MLB isn't out of ordinary either. Look at gavin bryant. His offer list tells you this guys potential. I hope we land him.

The crystal ball has us at 79% to 21% for Ole Miss. FWIW.

The Vandy guy is projecting him to Ole Miss. The people who seem to have some sense are saying Vol.

Blueshirt is really no different to a kid than a normally signing. The only difference is you don't take an official, can't early enroll and don't have an in home. Everything else is the same. Butch has several kids on the team that can vouch that he will honor his word because we have blueshirt end several. It's perfect for instate kids that have no issue making it to campus with a quick drive.

One day people will understand that Vandy writers have zero inside knowledge. i don't even think they know what is happening inside their own program

Agree if the coach is trustworthy and the program is stable. A new coach coming in wouldn't have to honor the promise. And an injury is a possibility.

If a new coach is coming in the recruits usually know by signing day. Guess it wouldn't work in cases where your HC crashes his motorcycle with nooky chick in tow. Otherwise they can generally make a safe informed decision. :)

If we can blueshirt an LSU and Ole miss offered guy that would be impressive wouldn't it?

Per his twitter:

"After much reflection with my family and by myself I am proud to say I've committed to the University of Tennessee," Hart wrote.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Hart chose the Vols over scholarship offers from Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, California, Illinois, Indiana and Memphis, giving Tennessee its 12th known commitment for the 2016 class and its first from a linebacker.

In-state LB Hart chooses Tennessee
