per his twitter:

"after much reflection with my family and by myself i am proud to say i've committed to the university of tennessee," hart wrote.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound hart chose the vols over scholarship offers from ole miss, lsu, mississippi state, missouri, california, illinois, indiana and memphis, giving tennessee its 12th known commitment for the 2016 class and its first from a linebacker.

Barton Simmons said they probably have Hart underrated on 247. When you watch him live all you see is this guy flashing across and beating everyone to the ball. Called him a gamer that will rack up 100s of tackles at TN. Loves the pickup

Someone tell Barton to bump this gamer up a star or two, then!

Okay, not to poop on any parties here, but this is just info I've been handed. My boss's son attends school with Tim, and was on the wrestling team with him. His son says Hart has voiced concerns that TN will want to play him at safety at his size, and really likes the prospect that a school like LSU has LBs his size. My boss's son thinks he'll end up there. Let's hope he's wrong. Now with that out of the way, congratulations to Mr. Hart, welcome to the family and GBO! :)

Congratulations Tim on becoming a VFL!

Go Vols!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome aboard the Big Orange Train!!!!!!

We're noted for our 210+ lb safeties. :). Plus if he wants to stay at linebacker, pretend he wants to play safety. :). Finally why not commit to LSU if he's swinging that way. :loco:

It's just a conversation they've had several times and LSU comes back up. I'm sure his fears are unfounded. My boss says not only is he a great kid, he's fast, athletic, smart, good at his position, capable of playing OLB too, and his wrestling experience has helped his leverage and tackling immensely.
