'16 TN LB Tim Hart (FORMER UT commit 6/26/15)

Callahan has a new article up on 247.

Some quotes:

“I could name a thousand reasons (I chose Tennessee), but the most important is just my family was comfortable with it and comfortable with the coaches and comfortable with Tennessee as a whole,” said Hart, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 549 overall prospect and No. 18 outside linebacker in the 247Sports Composite for the 2016 class.

“And I was comfortable with Tennessee as a whole. I feel like it’s a place I’m comfortable enough to grow and learn and become a good player.”

“I’ve been thinking about it for a long time,” Hart said. “And you can ask anybody: In the process, it’s gone back and forth all the time. Week by week, your opinion will change on schools. But my opinion on Tennessee has been pretty consistent. I start leaning toward them within the past few weeks, just reflecting on my experiences there and what I’ve learned.”

Hart said he’s excited about his opportunity to learn from some of the Vols’ current linebackers, including junior starter Jalen Reeves-Maybin.

“For a linebacker, for me, the number-one thing I like is I think they’ve got some fantastic linebackers up there that I can learn from. They’ve also got (linebackers) coach (Tommy) Thigpen who I can learn from,” Hart said.

Hart said he’s capable of playing either middle linebacker or outside linebacker in Tennessee’s 4-3 defense, but he expects to start off at weakside linebacker.

“I can play either one, and they’re comfortable with me playing either one I want to,” Hart said. “But I think I’ll probably go in as an outside linebacker — like, the position Jalen Reeves-Maybin plays.”

Even with his decision behind him, Hart said he’s not completely closing the door on other teams. He said he’s still interested in visiting Missouri and California — two of the schools pursuing him that he hasn’t visited — but he’s “pretty comfortable with my decision.”

Hart said he’s even interested in being an early enrollee at Tennessee, although he’s not sure whether that’s an option for him at MUS.

“I feel like I made the best decision for me in the situation I’m in,” Hart said. “But you can never just completely close the process down. That’s not smart. You never know what can happen, so I’m going to continue to be recruited. But I’m committed to Tennessee.”

He looks pretty good on highlights. He looks better than Dodson kid that is going to tx am when it comes to actual football highlights and not a camp.

I like the Hart pickup, but Dodson is a better athlete by a good margin.

Dodson has RB flexibiity to go along with his LB body. And he is physical.

Hart does show great instincts though. Very good LB.

Just went down with an apparent knee injury. Not putting any weight on his right leg. Didn't look very good. He appeared to be in a lot of pain.
