You're right, but I can't see asking a kid to look around would burn a huge bridge. I know there's history there with the Cincy stuff, but I doubt it will be a big deal, especially if the kid is alluding to it being a business. Jmo

His lead recruiter is Mark Elder. Maybe he's disappointed that Coach Elder is moving to a different job. Like others have said, assuming a "gitshirt" is a HUGE overreaction. Especially considering the HS that he goes to.

Exactly, so it could be a multitude of things. I mean a kid says he is thinking on twitter and VN has a complete meltdown! I mean come on guys. The gitshirt thing is being overblown, and I honestly think there won't be too many of our recruits told to leave. 1 last year, and now 2 this year I think thatll be it honestly. Long story short don't over analyze things lol.

That was in response the decommittments that happened the other day. He doesn't have Tennessee commit on his Twitter but he hasn't mentioned decommitting.

I'll be surprised if this kid ends up a part of our signing class. I'm just not sure where he fits with Blakely on board and us already having so many LBs on campus anyway

Generally in life how much stock do you put in verbal commitments? When you're actually serious about something, you put it in writing. I don't see college football as any different. The system we have in place causes these circumstances to happen.

In a perfect world, that would work. This situation cuts both ways. It seems like Fulmer got burned a time or two by putting all his eggs in one recruits basket, most notably the Simms kid that went to Texas. Happens all the time. An early signing period would help some. But then again, what if the team the kid signs with in October has a different head coach in January? Jones's job is to bring in the best recruiting class to UT that he can get. Stuff like this sucks, but it's the nature of the beast.

I do worry about this situation potentially burning bridges to this school/area though.
