"It was good to get to play in the indoor facility and that was a different experience," Mathews said. "It was fun to hang out with the coaches and have a good time and just enjoy ourselves." "It's nice," Mathews said. "It's really relaxing and kind of enjoying each other and just being in a family environment and being together. It was a good deal."
"I got to talk to coach Mahoney a lot. I hung out with him and Ryan for most of the day," Mathews said. "I got to talk to coach Jones for a while when we are eating ice cream. It wasn't a whole lot of football talk. It was just conversing and having a good time talking to each other." "It showed they are about more than football, they are people too," Mathews explained. "They just aren't there to coach you and that's it. They are well-rounded people and there is another side to them than just the coaching side."
"I don't really have a list of top schools or anything. I've been to Ole Miss lately, I've been (to Tennessee) lately," Mathews explained. "I'm going to try and go to Clemson next month and maybe a couple others and maybe try and make a top list and make a decision before the season. "I might try and visit Texas A&M if I can get back to Texas."
"Definitely one of my favorite schools," Mathews said. "They are a great program on the rise - I'm sure you get that answer from everyone. But, they're coming up."
