'16 TN WR Nate Johnson

Not age. Time in the system. There is a huge difference between 4 years in a system vs. 3 years. Maybe Deshaun and Kelly are just better than Dobbs.

However, you can't say that about Dak or Brandon Allen. At the same stage (3 years in the college system) Dobbs STATISTICALLY outperformed them. My only point is why can't he do the same next year?

If Dak made a monumental leap from his 3rd year to his 4th year, why can't Josh? If Brandon Allen can go from dreadful to respectable after 4 years in a system, why can't Josh improve as well?

Josh completed a higher percentage of his passes as a third year player than Dak, yet he's an inaccurate passer that is doomed. While Dak is the epitome of passing greatness.

All I'm saying is tons of GREAT passing QBs have been worse at this stage in their careers than Josh. If they can improve, then so can Dobbs.

That's all I've ever said.

And Dak, in his 3rd year, blew every other passing statistic out of the water compared to Josh. Nice cherry picking. Also, easy on the stats brother...you're relying a bit too much on that completion percentage, don't you think?

Again, I'm a Dobbs fan....just a realistic Dobbs fan. I believe he can improve as well, but he's gotta get going, cause he didn't improve very much, if any, from year 2 in the system to year 3 in the system. We need him and the WRs to be much better next year. And btw, who exactly on here has said Dobbs can't improve in 2016? You keep saying it, but I don't recall anybody really saying Dobbs is a finished product and can't get better.

Dak throws downfield and Dobbs throws short passes. Thats the difference. Its the offenses that their coaches run. Allen made a jump because their coach decided to throw the ball more. Butch will not change the offense that much with Hurd, Kamara and Dobbs running the ball the way that they do.

Stop deflecting and going on tangents. Why even bring up a kid who plays in another conference? Watson is a precious talent. No reason to compare him to anyone else.

I gave you two better comparisons. SEC QBs that you've constantly used to diminish Dobbs. I posted their production at a comparable age. And Dobbs surpassed them.

My question is why can't he improve next year like Dak did as a redshirt junior?

Very simple. And stop deflecting.

You can't compare Dak's RS SO year to Dobbs JR year just because they're both 3 yrs out of HS. Dak entered his 3rd year in the program (RS So) with 29 career attempts. Dobbs entered his 3rd year in the program (JR year) wirh 184 career attempts. Compare their results for their actual classification, regardless of RS cause that's when they first had the opportunity to play. Dak's 3rd year of playing (all that matters) was his RS JR year, his stats were light years better than Dobbs JR year (also his 3rd year of playing).

Dak wasn't playing as a true FR m, obviously, or as a RS FR so I doubt be built much comradery with his WR. Having a grasp of the system doesn't improve your accuracy. You're either accurate or you're not.

No he didn't. Stop making up lies.

Dobbs threw for more TDs (15 vs. 10) and less INTs (5 vs. 7). Dobbs had the higher completion percentage (59.9% vs. 58.4%) and passed for more yards (2125 yards passing vs. 1940 yards passing).

In fact it was Dak that only had one advantage in the passing stats. He threw for slightly more yards per attempt (7.3 yards per attempt vs. 6.7 yards per attempt).

Dak still had tons of attempts given more practice even if he didn't play as much as Josh. He still had the spring practice and fall camp snaps.

Dobbs should have redshirted as a freshmen. He was thrown on the field not because He was ready but because of injuries.

LOL whatever helps you sleep at night in your Josh Dobbs Snuggie. Your mo always changes to fit the discussion. I like Dobbs but your blind love for him is irrational and kind of weird.

So you think its fair to compare redshirt freshmen to true freshmen?

Guys like Darrell Taylor and Drew Richmond have the benefit of being in a college program for 12 extra months. I would expect them to be more advanced than a true freshmen. I'd compare their level of play to true sophomores NOT true freshmen.

Why wouldn't the same logic hold when comparing a redshirt junior in Dak to a true junior in Dobbs. Of course 2014 Dak is more advanced than 2015 Dobbs. He had 12 extra months in the Mississippi State system.

I finally put him on ignore. Couldn't take it anymore. I never thought I'd say this about anyone, but he's worse than Lebvol was.

Much worse. Leb was annoying but not so condescending..
