A good portion of the staff will converge on Northern Alabama in and around Huntsville. They will see Will Ignont and then try to continue their late push for fellow defensive lineman LaBryan Ray. Both Bob Shoop and Steve Stripling will see Ray at school tomorrow before they are joined by Larry Scott, Tommy Thigpen and Butch Jones for an in-home visit tomorrow night. That means half the staff will have all eyes on Ray.

At this point we believe that Ray is very much torn with his decision. He will make the trip to Florida this weekend, but we don't believe the Gators are a factor. This is a two team race with Alabama still the favorite for the obvious reasons. With that said, Tennessee has some reasons for optimism. The people we have spoken to tell us that Ray never gave a private commitment to Nick Saban and there are some in and around Ray that believe Tennessee is more than just window dressing in his recruitment.

Not to be all negative but this mirrors Cam Akers leading up to his announcement. Would love to get him though. Curious as to what the Bama mods are saying on their end.

LaBryan Ray is so tight-lipped it appears there aren't any "inside sources" who know (or will leak) anything beyond what's been reported.

The staff is gonna rent a bus and go scoop up the Ignont family then go get Ray's family and head to the Texas De Brazil for some good steak buffet. Decisions are always better on a full stomach.

Shoop has his soft serve joint in the GPS already. He needs a soft serve for this one. Need the A game.

Just remember, posts like this do not just accuse Auburn of illegal recruiting. They also call into question LaBryan Ray's character. Do you really want to do that?

Good luck doing that, this kid is someone you want in your program, not only for his talent, but also they way he conducts himself outside of football.
