'17 CA DT/OL Jalen McKenzie

I would like to see what he could do with a couple of healthy years and the S&C program (if we upgrade ours).

Have you read all the threads on the RF all the way thru? There's some much off topic crap posted in each thread no one is going to read it beginning to end. Unnecessary comments? Get over yourself..

hey dummy, my comment was a joke, sorry if you were unable to decipher that and it ruined your day

Are we so desperate as to think we need to get another project? Isn't his kin really enough of one already considering his lofty ranking?

Clearly you don't understand the role a DT like KM plays or the reason why our run defense was so porous after "his kin" got injured.

Come on now you know the DL is only there to get sacks. They have no place in the run. Especially after losing all but one DT and have DEs playing WAY out of position.

Everybody rags on KM while praising Shy Tuttle. Guess who is double-teamed more often when they're in together? KM

For the record, I'm happy with both

Clearly you should look at the first games of the year. We couldn't stop anyone on the ground with KMac, Shy, and JRM in there. It surely got much worse later but we sucked on rushing D the whole season. And we will suck in Nashville later this week again.

Not true at all. Teams were successful on the ground early in games but Shoop would adjust and shut them down. Slow starts were the problem but everyone was boasting about Shops ability to adjust. Go look at 2nd half stats vs first half stats in the first 6 games. Before injuries piled up, Shoop's defense adjusted and shut teams down.

There you go with those "facts" again. Don't you know that Negavols are impervious to them?

Too many people in here have selective retention. Yes, overall, our D was bad, but there were some adjustments made that helped in earlier games. I don't know if it was just the injuries, but we did not make many successful adjustments later in the year.

As for the injuries, it is much more difficult to cut steel with paper knife than with a diamond blade.

I swear we have some of the dumbest fans.

I swear "we" have some of the most brain dead fans in the nation. They actually were predicting SEC East and possible SEC championships with a team that couldn't stop Vanderbilt or South Carolina when they needed to. The QB could sure run but not throw worth a darn. And then said the poor play due to injuries.

Wait till this team takes the field next season. Maybe a 6-6 record (2=6 in SEC) will make them realize Butch is not the man for the job.

Why are you rooting for a 6-6 record?

Too many damn blitzes

Because 6-6 or worse would mean butch is prob gone and that would be a good thing. Butch proved this year that he isn't a good coach and his recruiting won't get Tennessee anywhere besides where they are. No halfway decent coach or elite recruit without any kind of ties would ever consider coming to knoxville for the 2017 season because butch is a dead man walking. You can say injuries or whatever you want to but butch had enough talent left to beat scar and vandy and couldn't get it done. The only reasons butch is still here is because his buyout is too big and Tennessee blew out an overrated b10 team in butch's first bowl game

Ok. Seriously, rooting against the team just so the coach can be fired!?!? That is both idiotic and should be ban worthy. I'm not even joking about the latter either! Stop posting on this board if you're going to masquerade as an UT fan and cheer against them.

These people actually exist

If this was a paid site, trolls like 1982Alum and Mr.Checkerboards wouldn't be here. But, since it's free, trolls gonna troll. UGa, Vandy, KY. SC, UF and Bama all have their folks here keeping the natives in a heated frenzy. Just ignore ignorant posts.

If you ever pull for our team to lose, you are not a true fan. It is simple as that.

Everything isn't black and white. I was pulling for our team to lose when Dooley was the coach. If he had beaten Vandy, then Hart would have tried to keep him. I think Butch has done a good job of rebuilding the roster and our program is in better shape than when he took over. I think we need to go ahead and find a better coach while the program is still in good shape and while other programs in the East have mediocre coaches.
