We could take a 2* QB who plays 6 man football who threw for 317 yards last year in the mountains of Montana and it would be followed with, "he good", "trust Butch", "He's underrated, should be a 4*", and so on. No matter who we take, as fans were going to insist he's good.

When we are winning big this year, I hope some of you Jackwagons do not come on this site celebrating.
ABSOLUTELY
Give me a break. Because some of us question something, or have a differ option, doesn't mean we are not fans. I've gave a lot of money to UT over the years, and usually go to a couple games a year(basketball too)
Get off your high horse
Shut up, Leb.
JJ Watt, Derek Wolfe, Antonio Brown, and Eric Fisher were all low ranked players butch recruited and/or coached. One was a first overall pick, one is the most dominant DE in the NFL and the other is one of, if not the most dominant receiver in the NFL.
Now should I list all the busts? I won't. Its silly though to point to 4 guys who panned out when the list of those who didn't would be MUCH larger.
My comment was simply pointing out that no matter what talent a kid has or what he's ranked he's a star in the eyes of our fan base. Woody Quinn. "He gonna be a star!"

The sheep will quickly jump all over someone complaining about CBJ for taking a commitment from a less talented player.......then same sheep will be saying to make room at the end when the real elite players want in. Seen it to many times.
Not me. Don't take the commitment if you're not going to honor it. If you may recruit over the kid in the same class, just don't take him early.
I'm fine with 3* players. Fact is there are ALOT of role position type guys needed to build a winner. You just can't be naive and think stockpiling 3* signees will have you in the top 5 classes.
