I just wanted to see if these guys touting our "NFL scouts" knew who they were. Apparently they don't. And its only one guy, not plural.

Bob welton was a browns scout for like 10 years and Bobby Merritt was a scout for a while too lol. That's who Rucker was talking about, but I'm sure he made it up, right? This is honestly hilarious. Keep being a negavol tho and think CBJ doesn't know how to recruit

Bobby Merrit and Bob Welton. That's two, that's plural. They are former nfl scouts. One for the browns the other for the texans.
So whats your point?

With 18 commits, we have about 7-9 spots remaining and more than twice that many top prospects left on our board. Get ready-- there's going to be a lot of sausagemaking, especially if we have a big season.

Some people don't agree with Butch's strategy, but I'd say today accomplished exactly what he wanted. He kickstarted the class into the Top 10, gave our hot prospects something to think about, got UT in the headlines and #OrangeCarpetDay trending on social media.

As an Intern, a glorified gopher. That hardly qualifies him as an NFL scout. Nice try though.

This is Josephs' bio from UTSports. He's still wet behind the ears and was never an "NFL scout."

• As an intern with he Philadelphia Eagles in 2012, Josephs evaluated free agents and the defensive linemen, and
assisted in the preparation of advance team reports for the scouting department. He recommended, scouted
and played a major role in the training camp signing of AFL DE Xavier Brown.
• Served as a pro scouting intern with the Buffalo Bills in 2010
• Was equipment intern with the Dallas Cowboys in 2009

They used to bank on technical coaching failure, and then "we kin git us a big name coach!" This after predicting Butch couldn't recruit in the SEC. The Shoop hire has em spooked. Smacked their little spider nest and now they're crawling over here. :yuck: They're fans...but they'd rather do it their way and fail than go with Butch...succeed or fail. :loco:

IMO 50/50...some are trolls...and unfortunately some are real vol fans who are just that stupid.
