'17 Class discussion (split)

As an Intern, a glorified gopher. That hardly qualifies him as an NFL scout. Nice try though.

This is Josephs' bio from UTSports. He's still wet behind the ears and was never an "NFL scout."

He still did it didn't he? Gruden and Majors both started out as a GA

Since CBJ and staff is so bad at evaluating talent and have no idea what they are doing. Whats your resumes? I'm sure you must have a great track record

Well, I'm a FFer, and I can only claim Hoptown as one of ours. The others - yours. We win.

I'll have to call BS on that. Most of these guys posting, I don't even know who the hell they are. I have actually started frequenting the FF more often here lately, and you and I have had several conversations. Although I have to say your review of "Animal House" (which I advised for you to watch) left me scratching my head. I really could have sworn a woman would love that movie.....ya know......because I did.

They used to bank on technical coaching failure, and then "we kin git us a big name coach!" This after predicting Butch couldn't recruit in the SEC. The Shoop hire has em spooked. Smacked their little spider nest and now they're crawling over here. :yuck: They're fans...but they'd rather do it their way and fail than go with Butch...succeed or fail. :loco:

Yup, When CBJ was first hired there were tons and tons of tweets to him from vol fans about how he could never recruit in the SEC and he would be worse than Dooley. Funny thing is, there's some people who say they would rather have Dooley. Go to the FB page "Fire Butch Jones" it has like 400 likes. You'll get some great laughs from it

I never said that, and I defy you to find one post from me anywhere on the internet making that statement.

What I am telling you is this: We do not have former NFL scouts watching film of these recruits, we have
one former NFL scout in football operations. That is my point, who the hell knows what yours is.

lol. I really don't see how Animal House is considered a classic. They really must have been in need of good movies back in your day.

I watched your ill-advised movie. You should watch one I recommend now. Maybe a musical or something good. I'll be nice though - Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. Seen it?

Wait for a cognizant moment, and then compare the athleticism of the team...pre-Butch to present. If you're capable of honest debate, is someone scouting well? 5 star recruits didn't accomplish all that...massive overhaul.

OMG can you dig this hole any deeper? Maybe you should stop taking Rucker as gospel kid.

One former NFL scout, and Josephs' claim to fame is that he somehow participated in somehow helping to sign an arena guy to the Eagles practice squad, for one season. LOL

I'm not taking Rucker as a gospel kid at all, but he's likely closer to the UT program than u and I'll take his word over yours lol. And it is a former nfl scout on the staff. Not to mention CBJ has proven time and time again he finds amazing 3*'s. Whats your point in this argument anyways? Lmao

I realize that you have a limited understanding of most things discussed on these boards, but I will repeat
this one more time so that you may finally grasp what I am saying, although I doubt you will.

I have never complained about Butch's staff having to do with talent evaluations, and you may try in vain
to find one single post by me in the last 24 hours complaining about the make-up of this class. What I
have clearly stated in this thread is that the prospect of "half these commits being bumped" is pure delusion.

And furthermore I am clarifying for all you people in your little club that we do not have "NFL Scouts" in the
football ops organization making evaluations on prospective recruits... we have exactly one former NFL scout,
and his name is Bob Welton.

Put up or shut up Butchie.

Listen up junior, we have exactly one former NFL scout on staff, I just posted the link to prove it to you.
You didn't even know Merritt had been replaced for crying out loud. What else can I teach you tonight?

I've never complained about evaluations, so what is your point other than you seem to be out of touch
with all this?

Prove it's "pure deloiusinal", have you followed CBJ's previous classes? Most of his early 3* commits ALWAYS get bumps in recruiting. Some have gone from unranked to 3* lol.

So you argued for how many hours? Just to say that we have 1 former nfl scout and not 2? Well alrighty then lol

Yea, it was a very quiet move when joseph was hired, didn't make noise at all.... Josephs still worked in the NFL. It doesn't matter if he was an intern or not lol. You argued about hours about wether Tennessee had one or two former nfl scouts.... Now that's funny

Thats complete nonsense. List them all please.

Also falling into that category is the statement "we have former NFL scouts watching film." Its one guy, and I just demonstrated
that to you, yet you're still here making a fool of yourself.... for how many hours? LOL

Talking like you have a higher understanding and displaying it are where you struggle...along with making points and general discussion. Weak and sad. Thesaurus better lil Tugger. :hi:

Josephs interned for 2 summers while he was in school. Big deal. And he sure aint no "scout."

"Former NFL scouts" actually implies more than 2, but we have exactly one. Sorry about that, you're not very good at this.

Well you're not doing a very good job of refuting my points are you now Butchie? I suppose this is when the personal attacks start, should I gird myself? :eek:lol:

He still did it, didn't he? You can't say he wasn't just because he was an intern, and I'm sure it's more than you have done involving football anyways. So I guess what Dobbs has done the past 2 summers means nothing because it was just an internship?
