This is exactly how you recruit marginal rated kids. See them in their senior year and then flex your muscles when they perform well. Tenn is strong and can steal these type players from the weak. We have had excellent luck with recruiting battles won like this. Need more of it.

I like the way we recruited Locklear as well

Best defensive player on best team in Fla this year. Plays inside, outside and standing up at times. Kid loves to get after the QB.

Southridge plays in 8A(Fla largest class)

Southridge’s defense has allowed less than a field goal per contest this season. That’s 48 points in 13 games for an average of 3.7

No team has scored over 20 points on the Spartans, whose only losses came early in the season to Class 6A state finalist Carol City and Class 4A state semifinalist Booker T. Washington.

Following those two consecutive losses, Southridge had an amazing streak of seven consecutive shutouts that was snapped two weeks ago.

Meh recruiting is a crap shoot, a lot of in state schools take players for granted and maybe don't do their homework as well as they should. Many of these late blooming type recruits also take it as a slap in the face by their home schools and use it as motivation.

Watching senior highlights he lines up all over the place. Even plays inside and still gets through. Size looks legit. Doesn't look like Taylor did in high school who was seriously thin. This guy looks to be solidly in the 235-240 range, decent height. Looked like Miami offered and several SEC schools. Definatley a 4-3 end, which would explain why FSU, and UGA not a player.

how many points are field goals worth today? 🤔 They probably could have given up some points on offense I suppose. And pat's are technically special teams. 😬

Locklear would be a vol this way as well.

You know that for a fact? All kids are different. Maybe Locklear is the type that wanted to comitt early and stay true o his original choice. If UT doesn't push early for an at the time "marginal" talent, maybe he picks someone else.

Of course I don't know for sure but what I do know is Jones has very good luck with recruits he flipped late in the process and very poor luck with lower rated kids committed early in the process.

Man Florida Atlantic and Florida International have got NOTHING on us when we want one of their prized recruits.

Does brick by brick mean 3 star by 3 star?
