Never thought I'd say this about a Bama fan, but can we not just keep Tidal Surge and trade him for one or two of "our" guys?
I mean if respect for the program is the prerequisite, he does seem more qualified.

Most fans have given Butch high marks for his recruiting skills. It's beginning to dawn that he is just as good at spotting unheralded talent.

Lets not get too carried away. This kid is a decent player but I don't think hes a world burner. He is a depth player at most who could fill in and maybe be good. The well was running dry.

This staff has found some that were low ranked that ended up higher ranked and got more big time offers after UT offered, sure. Still waiting on some of these hidden gem 3 stars to actually be good. And don't use his 2 from Central Michigan.

Offer list is pretty weak. A Florida RB without any Florida school offer....

Wrong. Florida was recruiting him actively and visited him recently. They were pressing for him. Kid was very under the radar, but has a lot of raw talent and good size for the SEC. Once he spends some time with Rock, he will make an impact here at Tennessee.

Seems like he already knows how to run the football, don't see much of a difference between him and the other two, one committed to Auburn the other headed to LSU.

For the third back in the class, this kid is a steal IMO.
I just watched his tape. I like his combination of size, speed, vision, instincts and ability as a receiver. Pretty good on defense too. Good athleticism, versatlity and upside potential. Still a bit raw, but provides versatile depth and UT can probably redshirt him. All things considered, I think he's a smart take and good pickup.

Wow, always two camps every time a kid commits. One camp only looks at stars and determines the kids heart, work ethic, and future success based off a number. Second group pushes rainbows more than carebears and acts like he's better than Akers.

Me? I've seen 3 stars make all pro and 5 star busts taking orders at Chic fil A. Mmm CFA. On the day a KID commits tho, just celebrate the day with him as this is his dream and his family are excited for him. NO reason to take that away,

Stars go away once they put on the pads.
