Ugh
Of course this isn't an ideal situation for us.
But we need a 3rd RB and this kid is better than some of the 3* guys we're looking at.
No. Do you? 😎
I'd rather be "sunshine" while winning championships than when hoping against hope that Jones is finding not a few but A LOT of "diamonds in the rough".
You're probably following this closer than I am but it seems UT needs more LB's more than anything else. If you're going to take a chance on a project type 2* player then why not find a big safety who can become a SLB or MLB?
Yeah. I really do. You go after a lower rated guy here or there... OK. But there's a lot of it going on this year and UT really isn't in the running at all for a lot of the top shelf guys.
Jones has pretty much demonstrated that he can't "coach'em up". The only real hope is that he can recruit elite talent on a consistent basis.

TIMOTHY JORDAN
Running back
6-0, 187 pounds
Bartow (Fla.) High School
Tennessee still is looking to add a third running back to its 2017 class, and while four-star prospect Travis Etienne of Jennings, La., and three-star Darrian Felix of Fort Myers, Fla., also are considering the Vols, Jordan appears to be one of their most realistic options. Jordan, a three-star prospect, decommitted from Western Kentucky earlier this week and is planning to take official visits to North Carolina the weekend of Jan. 13, Tennessee the weekend of Jan. 20 and Purdue the weekend of Jan. 27 before making his final choice. The 247Sports Crystal Ball currently points to North Carolina as the favorite.
TIMOTHY JORDAN, 6-0, 187 pounds
Bartow (Fla.) High School
Three stars. Ranked No. 1,235 overall prospect and No. 79 running back by 247Sports.
Tennessees chances: Good. Tennessee and North Carolina are the favorites to land the former Western Kentucky commitment. The Vols and Tar Heels, along with Purdue, are scheduled to host him this month.
