'17 FL RB Timothy Jordan (UT signee)

Maybe he's actually pretty good, maybe he's much better than his ranking?

I think you're both right.

I really, really like Jordan's upside. I think he's better than Coleman and would round out our class nicely.

AND I think that our staff should have us in a position where we shouldn't have to be digging to find diamonds in the rough this late in the game.

We should not have to dig this low to find a RB, but I think Jordan is very underrated and could prove to be a steal. His film is legit, and he plays against solid competition. There's a reason power 5 schools are wanting him. Besides, I think Coach G's resume speaks for itself in terms of RB development.

Jordan could end up being the next Jim Brown for all we know. But Kelly was a Michigan kid with offers from Michigan and Michigan state. He wasn't under the radar.

Michigan was really upset they weren't able to get him. Harbaugh wanted him bad.

Whats sad is that he really believes WKU is on the same level as UT. Somebody must have put some sorta drug in his fruit loops. Tony your onesie is getting to tight cutting off the blood from your brain. ;) Thanks Buddy!

I heard Tony likes boo berries...????

After battling for nearly two years to try and land Cam Akers, Tennessee now shifts their focus to other running backs. Fort Myers, Florida running back Darrian Felix is part of that focus as are Western Kentucky commitment Tim Jordan of Bartow, Florida and John Lovett of New Jersey. Jordan is someone who's recruitment is expect to take off once the dead period ends and he is a back this coaching staff appears to like a lot. The Vols have also been recruiting Louisiana tailback Travis Etienne as well. But Etienne received an LSU offer on Tuesday of this week and that changes his recruitment a lot.

Certainly not a bell cow but he can be solid depth. Which is what we need with this 3rd back. We just can't have someone transfer out after their freshman year again.

Why would a player who knows he is a serious back up plan for a major university leave the mid level program he has been committed too.

I as a player, would know that my probability to see the field at tennessee is a lot less than at Western Kentucky.

It all depends on how much the kid believes in himself. Does he want to play it safe and be a big fish in a small pond, or does he want to take a shot at a big time program?

Why would a player choose Tennessee over WK? Really?

I get the tradition, facilities, education assistance, and all the other perks tennessee would have over western Kentucky.

You can't look at this through fans eyes though. This kid probably isn't a life time fan of Tennessee.

I myself would be level headed about my recruitment and take note of how many major universities actually recruited me the whole time.

Holding a grudge in life is setting barriers on yourself. It's not level headed to be bitter about how a program ranked you on their board.

If you get the opportunity, take it. Would you really say no to a big time job offer with more long term benefits just because you were not their first choice? Challenge yourself. Comfort is a lazy term when trying to achieve a higher goal. It's an excuse.

I tend to agree with this line of thinking, but I'll play devils advocate anyway:

Going to a bigger program presents him with better facilities to turn his body into that of a pro athlete and future draft pick.

Having a stable of guys to share the load with can keep him from getting too much tread on his tires, so to speak and keeping fresh legs for the NFL.

More national exposure playing at a big school.

OV on the 20th. Mods, please merge my other post, sorry. I looked and didn't see him.
