'17 GA LB Solon Page III (UT signee)

ESPN also has like 700 4-stars which completely waters down their individual player ratings. You have a guy in the 600''s nationally that would be a mid 3-star on Rivals, Scout and 247, and he gets 4-stars on ESPN.

I'm not a fan of ESPN at all, for the simple fact that they rarely update their rankings on prospects as time goes along. They do almost nothing when it comes to combines and camps and moving guys around based on how they perform there. All their rankings are basically based on one camp (The Opening) and soph / junior film on a player.

With that said their rankings are no less reliable than rivals or 247. This whole recruiting thing is a sham. None of the services are any more accurate than the other on who will be good and who won't.

I disagree. KMac didn't have the kind of freshman year a top ten player has. Top ten players are supposed to make an instant impact.

He matched the freshman tackles stats at Georgia but KMac had one more sack. The tackle at Georgia was a freshman All American. Kid at Georgia is Trent something.

He’s got a little Gary Payton in him: “Off the field, I’m humble. … But on the field, I like to talk a lot. I talk a lot of trash. I like to play fast and go around and hit people and then let you know that I just hit you. That’s just fun to me. Hitting people and letting them know, ‘That this is coming all day and all night.’ I always thought football is supposed to be fun, so why not do that. If you’ve got a problem with it then stop me.”

He envisions a versatile role at Tennessee: “They’ll have me at outside linebacker, but it will be kind of playing like that hybrid safety kind of position. Like a walk-down safety. I think they call it the JACK. (Linebackers) Coach (Tommy) Thigpen likes the way I play in space, so that’s where they’re going to play me. They want to play to my strengths and put me out into space.”

...He’s seen first-hand Vols fans’ passion: “At a game one time, a bunch of girls came up to me and asked me to sign a bunch of different body parts. Like their neck and their arms. I thought that was super weird because I don’t even play at Tennessee and they’re asking for my autograph.”

Kahlil is going to occupy two blockers and stop the run. He makes the guys playing behind him look good and pushes the pocket on passing downs. I think he did a great job in those areas as a true freshman.

Him and Shy lined up together is "borderline erotic"

If anyone is interested in watching Mr. Page, he will be on Fox Sports SE Saturday morning at 9am. Kell vs Tucker in the GA Dome.

I don't know why. Seems like he's everything this staff likes in an OLB. Plays sideline to sideline like JRM
