Well guys and gals, what were you all saying about don't worry about our recruiting slipping? Isn't this the 3rd de-commit this week? But yeah, at this rate I see us closing strong with a top 10-15 class like most think we will still do. Something is amiss at the circle K folks.... hope this is just a coincidence.

Well good gosh let's just all slit our wrists and be done with it.........We just secured a bowl game against a "perceived" top 15 team, Guarantano is still coming, we are improving as a team, momentum is CLEARLY on our side at the moment. It just all sucks cuz Butch will never win anything at UT without this kid at QB.....:wacko:

No way no how! Just got slammed earlier today for having reservations about the possibility that something may be going on with recruiting besides asking kids to look elsewhere so we can upgrade. This is a big deal. I would get it if he was going to a school where he could just step right in and play, but the #1 team in the country would not be my first guess on where he would flip.

Gotcha. Just felt like a told you so thread. My bad for misinterpreting. But I do agree that Clemson isn't surprising. They don't seem to have anyone behind Watson.

But he's at the point where he can't just sell hope to recruits anymore. He has to win now. Until that happens, the coaches that are winning will continue to attack our commits. Florida next year in Neyland is by far the biggest game of his life. If the Gators make it a dozen, it could very well end him at UT.

Sure, I'll recant my statement. How many non legacy/ non Tennessee high school players have been great for us in the last two cycles?

My point is that in state players and legacies very much played a huge role in Butch's success. In state talent hasn't been as good this year, and its showing. Without it, Butch has struggled. There's no way to deny it. UK is recruiting just as well as UT is this year.

49ers coaches are terrible and tried to change offense instead of building around him. Also that's NFL. Kapernick was a beast at Nevada

Harbaugh made Kapernick what he was. He did the same with a bad former Iowa QB in Ruddock. The guy can coach QBs and pretty much offense in general.

Honestly I am not very dissapointed. Hunter isn't as good as his rating. Wouldn't have beaten out JG and Trevor Lawrence would beat him out as well if he commits here. Too many people here tried to justify his rating, but in reality he is a high 3/low 4 star QB. Only good thing about having him is that he boosted our ratings and built a good relationship with Tee Higgins.

The writing was on the wall with QD S JONES AND OUR STUD 2016 RECRUIT WERE A run first team with. QB runs involved we threw for less than 2500 yards clemsons O is hot right now and so is playing time not at ut i think butch is very pleased with dormandy and JG. Hunter johnsons got a arm but when your the #1 ranked pp QB and you have 11 tds to 10 picks not what i would expexct from a #1 recruit ill take. Our duel threat cam newton 2.0 over johnson well be just fine without him
