Showed enough that two high program staffs have sought and accepted his commitment.
JG is better and is perfect for Butch's spread offense. HJ could become a good QB in an Pro Style offense with a good O-Line but other than that, I think we got the better athlete in JG. Watch his film and compare it to HJ's.
I like JG a lot and do think he is a great fit for this offense. I'm not sure who is better definitely or what that has to do with Hunter Johnson's ability.

Keep talking. JG is a better athlete that fits Butch's offense. Who gives a sh*t about the kind of offense Clemson runs. If you think Johnson is better based off just a 5* ranking, you're going to be disappointed.
Cause a lot of posters are acting like HJ was a huge loss and there was a fair share of posters questioning his film cause it did not scream as an #1 overall QB. Not to mention we got bigger needs on this team and an QB is not one of them. I'd rather take two good running backs over HJ to replace Hurd & Kamara.
Just scrolled through the first pages of thread after he committed. Amazing how opinions can change so greatly once a player isn't a commit any more.
Josh, you called him the biggest commit of Butch Jones era.
Our WR production over the past couple of years has more to do with it than another recruit committed to a different school. Whether we like it or not, Clemson has a lot more to sell to a WR recruit than we do right now.
I think Johnson and Rogers played a role, but I think we are giving them too much credit. Plus, Higgins' recruitment is not over.

Star ranking wise, he was Butch's biggest commit considering he was ranked the #1 QB in '17. Doesn't mean he had the most potential out of all Butch's recruits. Volnation is full of star gazers and automatically assumes they'll be All Americans just because they have 4* & 5*s next to their name. If that's the case then half our damn starting lineup shouldn't even be on the field considering a big chunk of them were 3*s coming out of high school.
So you were just star gazing. Ok.
Read my post again. A lot of posters freak out when recruit a lot of 3*s but I'm not one of them. Some of the lower rated commits we got now have a lot of potential to be good in Butch's offense. In case you forgot, Butch is getting paid to make the decisions around here and if he feels like a lower rated commit deserves a spot, I'm all for it. I don't b*tch about them being 3*s like some of the star gazers we got here on Volnation. But you know it all so I'm sure you know more about football than the staff.
Yes. Along with similarities in size, athleticism, and playing style.

BS. Somebody called you on your nonsense and now you are doing everything you can to save face. Keep spinning your nonsense though.
JG might very well be more talented and have a better career than HJ. But assumptions are just that, assumptions. Yeah there were some on here that questioned HJs ability but lets be honest, the many coaches around the country know more than all of VN combined when it comes to evaluating talent. The same coach that recruited JG recognized HJs talent. Butch Jones. So
