I love Kelly's attitude and how hard he runs but I dont feel like this is true. Hopefully he proves me wrong but I feel like he gets by on determination more than ability, which is not an insult at all.

To be fair, Hurd would have gotten carries over a young Hershal Walker this year.

I'm not saying starter but he wil absolutely make a NFL roster . I still stand by what I said . He reminds me a hell of lot of Ray Rice in Baltimore on the field

you base your claim around saying you haven't seen kelly do it against good defenses but Akers has literally no carries in college yet. I hope this is something we discuss after today they'd make a great trio

Takes more than just having good backs though. Honesty, Kelly was 3rd string this year until Jalen quit and AK got injured. We had every reason to believe that we would gash most teams we faced. That didn't happen. We could have Marshall Faulk and Eddie George in the backfield, but unless we have the right play calls and the o-line doing their job then it won't matter. Faulk in his prime wouldn't have gotten 1000 yards behind this o-line. At least not the way they were playing at the beginning of the year.

I dont have a problem with those saying kelly isnt elite as long as they acknowledge that he is as good or better (in this offense) than the 5* "elite" Mr Hurd.

If Akers commits here I don't see a running back getting over 40% of the carries. The hype train for Kelly is out of control right now. He runs hard and has good vision but he doesn't have elite speed and I would say his ability to make people miss is pretty average.

Don't believe that for a second. We'll be starting a new qb and will be losing our 4 best defensive players in Barnett, Sutton, Vereen, and JRM. We'll also be losing our most dynamic RB and possibly our leading WR. And what decade was it when we last beat UF in Gainesville. No, I'm betting the defending SECe champs will be a 5 to 6 point favorite at home vs a Tennessee team trying to regroup coming off a majorly disappointing 2016 season.

Also, who says we'll go into that game 2-0? I'm not big on our chances of beating Ga Tech with that unconventional offense.....considering that Shoop will still be our DC, they may run for 500+ yards.

Somebody compared him to Ray Rice man. He got significant snaps for half his sophomore year and people are saying his a NFL back. I like watching Kelly run the ball and I'm hopeful for his future but these last two pages have been pretty unrealistic
