'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

Haha okay, last night it seemed to favor us a little more. So now back to anyone?

Lol, just messing around. No one knows really. Several seem to have ways of knowing and think he is coming here. Hubbs believes he is leaning FSU (he stated that privately while I was present) though some think Hubbs is preparing Vol fans for a letdown so they don't bust his chops later. Silly premise considering he never claimed Cam was coming to UT. We will all know in a little over 2 hours.

Yikes! I was in Houston waiting to board a flight to Puebla, Mexico, and they announced a delay because they were waiting on a part. I texted hubby and told him. Five minutes later they announced we could start boarding.

They just put us to what is a five hour delay. Hate Delta.

My flight out of New York has been delayed and I will be in the air during the announcment. Hopefully still in the air since the delay is due to mechanical failure.

Then I wouldn't get on THAT plane!

Where's our bakery insider? Where's the people at the Mall of Mississippi that saw his family buying up all the Tennessee swag? Has Trey Smith boarded his private jet to be there for the announcement yet? I'm not seeing many answers to these questions, and it's starting to become a little concerning.

Cam Akers is NOT coming to Tenn............Butch Jones blew his chance by losing meaningless games in which other coaches will recruit against that by saying to the kid/s "do you want to go there, he will not be there next year"......Winning MATTERS !!

I think I've read this a time or a thousand in this thread alone. Geez, if ya wanna slam our staff and get ya jabs in please come up with some new material.

Well, how else would you evaluate a RB other than looking at their on the field production with the quality of the opponent taken into consideration along with when in the game they got their yardage? 4th quarter garbage time doesn't have a lot of meaning, etc.

So a kid that has only played high school defenses is going to come in and learn all the plays and blocking schemes and take over the starting job at an SEC school?

Man I miss the true insiders. Would be nice on some of these recruits. And some of you guys on here sound like a bunch of high school girls. Let's keep this thread on point

Don't believe that for a second. We'll be starting a new qb and will be losing our 4 best defensive players in Barnett, Sutton, Vereen, and JRM. We'll also be losing our most dynamic RB and possibly our leading WR. And what decade was it when we last beat UF in Gainesville. No, I'm betting the defending SECe champs will be a 5 to 6 point favorite at home vs a Tennessee team trying to regroup coming off a majorly disappointing 2016 season.

Also, who says we'll go into that game 2-0? I'm not big on our chances of beating Ga Tech with that unconventional offense.....considering that Shoop will still be our DC, they may run for 500+ yards.

They are likely losing 8 to 11 of their starters from our game and we are losing two. (Sutton and JRM didn't play against florida)

Malone is no guarantee to leave, Kelly has shown to be a good back, Kamara got three. THREE touches all game. Vereen had one tackle. Barnett will 100% be missed but his absence does not counter a new secondary, front line and lb core for florida AND the loss of their DC.

You getting on Shoops ass shows you're not interested in talking football but rather being negative. We will see in less than a year.

Yea, that would be like a rookie going to the NFL and taking over. This just never happens, just ask the Cowboys.

Actually we will lose only Barnett and Vereen from this year. The other two barely played and Sutton was nowhere near 100% when he came back.

Last time that happened to me Gabe Wright was a Vol when I boarded and a Tiger when I landed
