Vols are 4th in Scoring Offense in SEC. Biggest problem with offense this year is turnovers. They don't turn the ball over they're sitting at 9-1 right now even with all the injuries and everything else.

Turnovers and penalties have cost this offense from being elite. Anyone that has watched this team knows the ball has been thrown down field with success. Dobbs has been accurate on long throws and WRs have made plays. Anyone not admitting that part of this is showing their football ignorance.

I think it shows character to phone someone when you take something way from them. Someone you've spent close to a year developing a relationship with. I don't think it's too much to ask to call and say good luck sorry we couldn't it you in. But that's just my opinion.

So if you did an interview for a job and you thought it went well and they said listen you're high on our board but we aren't sure yet, and you said "wow okay I'll definitely take the job". Then the hiring day is approaching and you need a job with very minimal contact to that job even though you've tried, you'd expect a phone call saying "hey bro we don't you"? For what?

Are you for participation trophies too?

Let's just only offer kids were for sure gonna hold a spot for from now on.

Let's also make sure to have full contact with all the kids we don't want but show interest in.

Maybe it's just me, but all of that sounds really dumb. I personally think if this stuff is offensive to you (not calling a kid that's slipping down our board), then you need to sack up and avoid the real world. It's funny because I'm sure you've had a real world experience before, no? You've never not gotten a call back from a girl you were into? You've never not gotten a call back for a job? Nope. Kamara was a check down route but it was a crossing route over the middle

That's the worst analogy I've ever read on this board and that's saying something.

A better analogy would be going for a job interview and being told you have the job. Calling you each week and telling you how much we look forward to you joining the team. Week after week you get a call or a text saying how much your needed. Then a few weeks before your supposed to start you can't get in touch with anyone.

As far as participation trophys. I have to laugh. I bet you're a milineal. You only care about yourself. To hell with everybody unless it benefits you somehow. It's called scruples. It's called being a man. It's called having nuts. It's about not being a coward. It's about not being afraid to face up to what you are doing. I don't have an issue with cutting the kid loose. My issue is with not being man enough to own it. IF the dad is being truthful and the staff just quit communicating. (Is that a strong enough IF for you Newt?)

I'll add that I own my own business ND I frequently interview and hire. While not always but I do try and call all the people that interview and thank them for their time and inform them of my decision and wish them luck. It's called being a good person.
