'17 MS TE Chase Rogers (Former UT commit)

I think it would be a good thing if he decommitted and went to Ole Miss. He has one of the lowest ratings of any of our players and we already have a TE in Bumphus.

It's not...

Hmm. No clue what I clicked on then. I was in his 247 page and clicked on his tweets. I was looking at Ole Miss stadium and a second pic which was smaller of him and another kid. He was in a Vol shirt.

Hey, I don't do Twitter. Might be a good thing. LOL

Ok. Going back and looking at it, may have just been a pic he saved on his profile to add it to his tweet about getting the OM offer.

Yea, but dem 7000 post in the Gibson thread doe.

The kid is from the gulf coast. Ole Miss is way north. More likely to go to LSU over Ole Miss. Think of the gulf coast like our Memphis but not crime ridden. Closer to LSU but in the State of Mississippi.

Idk what's going on but i find myself agreeing more with catbone these days. Im pretty sure I'm still a sunshine pumper so that can only mean one thing.

I've gone from full blown negavol to very cautiously optimistic lol

Is this gonna be a LSU situation where they completely ignore a recruit then all of sudden think might need him, and take him. I remember reading back when Rodgers first committed that his high school coach and him were upset with Ole Miss about not offering.

The ratings also suggested Daniel Helm was a better TE than Ethan Wolf. Certainly wouldn't have been a good thing had Wolf decommitted.

Hard to say. Some will flip no matter when the offer comes if they always wanted it. Others view it as a snub and stick with the school they committed to.

Regardless if he stays or not I'm confident in Larry Scott getting a replacement even though Callahan has made it clear the staff would like to hold onto him.

Also, even though Bumphus has camped at TE, 247 has also indicated that he is more than likely a defensive end at Tennessee. Good to have the flexibility with the potential of a tight end in Bumphus but I do not think he will be there tight end in the class.
