'17 NC DE Matthew Butler (UT Signee)

We'll need at least one to contribute.

How much though? And I like the other Florida WR at this point more. Jones doesn't provide anything Williams or Byrd does not already. Trying to see what unique role he will carve out. Jennings and Callaway starters. Byrd and Williams in the No.3 roles as speed guys. I think the need is for a big strong WR more than another smaller fast guy.

He plays bigger than his size you shall see.

Yeah but he would be a top 15 pick in the draft if he has a big year. He has elite measurables.

He's going to need a little production mixed in. Too many teams have gotten burned by the shorts Olympics.

We have a lot of unproven guys, but we have more talent and depth than people think. I see it looking something like this.

First Team:
WR 1: Jennings
WR 2: Callaway
Slot: Byrd

Second Team:
WR 1: Johnson
WR 2: Smith
Slot: Williams

George and the freshman provide depth.

I agree, I think Palmer is most likely to play this fall if healthy.

I am very excited about this guy. Saw a picture of him at the O&W game and he looks ready. Guy is jacked. I bet he contributes day one. Would not surprise me to see him be an instant impact guy. We need him to be also. This may be the most underrated recruit from this last class

All because of a picture that you Saw of him at the O&W Game? I hope that you are right, :hi:

I think he might be the most naturally talented as far as receiving goes among the 2017 guys, but a lot of times what determines whether a freshman can see the field or not is how well he remembers assignments, blocks, and does the little things.

It's hard to tell who will pick up on those things quickly and who will need more time to adjust.

While I am excited about our wide receiver prospects, I am equally excited about Mathew Butler's arrival to shore up our defensive line.
I bet he sees a lot of playing time this fall.

Hopefully kongbo Phillips and Taylor can take the majority of reps this year and let Butler take kongbo spot next year.

I hope Kongbo works digilently and improves his skills sufficiently to be our starter this year and next year. We need that from him, and he needs the coaching and experience to be the best of the best.

Not to worry. DB coached him up.
