Cotman was also a running back. They wanted him to play CB and ended up letting him go because they wanted a more experienced corner, but he could've and does play RB.

He is clearly the best player on the field. He runs past and away from everyone. What is the competition like?

Dang, LWSVOL. You need to stay with the AD predictions. :)

your right. I don't follow this recruiting stuff very much. Its too dynamic and the recruiting season runs too long for me.

BUT, about Christmas, I take a look at and see what the class will shape up to be. Really disappointed in this class. Too short on elite type players. Our recruiting still not where it needs to be. Appears to me Georgia and Carolina really picking it up recruiting wise so that will make up for their coaching weaknesses.

Just reading people I trust a lot and it appears we are really finished with recruiting. Want a RB and another corner type player. Would take an elite player that might want to come but none of those look interested in us.

The X factor could be new staff members. They might have a stud they could bring along with them BUT, no one I've talked to believes those being considered have a stud to drag along..

I wish some of those new staffers were elite recruiters.

this is probably the running back we get. he along with Corker and we are finished

Would have us finishing with around 238ish recruiting points on the composite. Good for 18th or 19th class wise when comparing last years final class rankings.

Zero chance that we add two more kids and that's it. Way too much time between now and signing day.

So are you hearing that we don't get Cam Akers or are you reading the tea leaves like the rest of us?

Back up to the back up back up

Akers
Etienne
Felix
Jordan
Lovett

I think thats the board. We want one.

would be pretty disturbing with what we have to offer right now and seemingly on the rise in recruiting if we whiff on the first four...

Cherokee is a good high school with a lot of kids to choose from. However if Tennessee is going to go after a Rb from my state of NJ than they should go after Jonathan Taylor from Salem High. Kid is a Wisconsin commit but he is a stud. Wisconsin always gets the good RBs from NJ. Probably too late to sway him now but he is the best running back in the state and Jersey has a lot of talent up north.

adding more than that would definitely mean attrition would be required and they really like what they have but could still turn some loose. Certainly could see them swapping one for one somewhere but the numbers aren't increasing much more.. they may pop one or two when they take anymore

Since you know the new staffers aren't elite recruiters, who are they? Edit- Didn't mean to sound confrontational,i mean who are you hearing as possible replacements..

Helfrich, Hoke and Fair seem to be the targets that many are talking about. those three names have been discussed since the end of the season and none have gotten snatched up by anyone else. Makes it seem very likely..

No one 100% knows even though some statements I make from time to time could be interpreted that way. Its easy in making passing comments to say something that appears 100%.

Right. That's what I was getting at. Just too much time for something like that to happen. We may lose one or two along the way we aren't expecting or we may add a couple that causes us to trim our commit list again.

I thought Hoke was a very good recruiter? We don't know how elite Terry can be, but I am thinking he would have a very good sell being a former VFL that is now a coach at his alma mater.

Didn't watch the bowl game between Idaho/Colorado State but the final score and most notably the PASSING YARDAGE? :yuck: Idaho's stud WR went up a round yesterday. Not a grand day on Terry Fair's resume...still hope we hire him.

The game was played on ice, literally. But yeah.

It was entertaining with all the slipping and sliding
