'17 TN ATH Amari Rodgers (Clemson commit)

Jones needs to step it up BIG time in recruiting. We've all heard how this class could be "legendary" and right now we are sitting at 0 commits. Butch is getting his ass handed to him and what makes it worst is that two of our prized instate recruits are favoring Clemson, ****ing Clemson. Step it up Butch this is a big year and we are all counting on you to bring the natty home and get a top 3 class.

Ive seen it all now.

Juco and everything I've heard point Rodgers and Higgins to Clemson.

I would make a never post again bet with you that the two of them don't end up at Clemson. But you've already proven that in addition to sucking at recruiting predictions, you're also a welcher. So there's that.

I don't blame him for not coming here for what was essentially a demotion. I think anybody with any sense understands that. It is more of a sense that I get, that he just doesn't love UT as much as he should. The way Amari acts like he doesn't give two spits for us, to me, is evidence of that. There are other things, but nothing real or concrete, just a feeling. When have you ever heard, or seen TeeM gush over Tennessee? Like everybody but Arian Foster does? At less he doesn't publicly trash us like AF does...there is that. Most people will disagree with me, but you know that feeling you get when you are around somebody that just doesn't like you much, but they are too polite to be just downright ugly to your face? That us the feeling I'm talking about.
So you're saying that Tee has burned bridges and deserves criticism from UT fans because of your gut feeling?

You're entitled to those feelings, but you can't expect others to share in them with you. If you look at evidence we have, hunches aside, the only slight between Tee and UT in the last 4-5 years has been him knocking Hurd in what he thought was a behind the doors, closed environment. Our coaches most likely do the same kind of thing when they don't think they're on camera and are evaluating players. Heck, Jones has said nearly as bad on a microphone in front of the whole team at practice to some guys as motivation.

I just don't see the reason to have animosity towards Tee other than jealousy. He's doing what's best for himself and being successful. I'm happy for him.

Well looks like we should pack things up here, guys. Nationdom says he's actually not wrong about almost everything that comes out of his mouth.

Surely somebody wouldn't just go on the Internet and tell a lie like that, right?

My allegiance is to Tennessee, not Buch Jones. He has done a solid job so far but he is not any thing special like many believe on here and that includes recruiting. Tennessee is one of the most tradition rich, all time winningest programs in the world with top 5 facilities, THE number one Stadium/atmosphere in the world and a destination job. My grandmother could recruit a top 20 class to Tennessee. I was at the Florida game in 2014 and the OU game this year and Butch blew it in those games and UF and Arky this year. He can redeem himself this year by getting to the playoff , which he should. Dobbs is the biggest obstacle we have to over come to get there. I can't stand thinking about those two checkerboard games I went to. Gosh I can't freaking stand those losses.

You do realize that the time he took the job, that 3 of those things weren't true?

What the heck? I have already said I understand people having a different perception than me. I even said that feeling has merit. I get that what I said is not popular opinion, and I'm not saying anyone is stupid for not feeling like I do. Let me say this again..I hope I am wrong, nothing would make me happier.

I just want to know where college football is played outside of the US? Antartic Polar Bears? Tokyo Godzillas?

Did you not agree that if we didn't get Mecole you would never show your face again? I doubt it would take much effort to find the posts. And I don't really get the term "grey hair". You know absolutely NOTHING about me other than what year my dad started school at UT?

It's hard to ban someone who brings so much truth and knowledge. I say that in a humble tone.

Man I don't care if you keep posting. I'm almost convinced that you and D4H are actually Freak posting to drive up click volume revenue. But if you actually are a real separate person, you should at least own up to going back on your word.

Nothing special? He has us on the verge of greatness, from the absolute pit. We were losing T freaking Vanderbilt and Kentucky. This program was a thermonuclear wasteland when he got here. UT takes a real pig of a person to not appreciate what he has done. Nobody...ever...has recruited any better as he has so far. Fulmer did have some great classes and a lot of good classes, and some real stinker classes. Jeez and people think my posts are stupid.

Not throwing the ball a lot has nothing to do with WRsdeveloping. You're looking at stats. That's not what anyone is talking about. What WR has gotten the most out of their talent/skill for us in 3 years?

Bama doesn't throw the ball around but their #1 WRs have been consistently great. They don't end up within 5 yards of each other. They high point footballs and run constistent routes and hang on to the ball.

Bama doesn't ask WRs to do things they can't do. I watched us throw back shoulder to Josh Smith like he's that type of WR. Smith and Pearson eat on mid range routes. Malone(when focused) looks like a No.1 WR. How he can't stay focused all game I have no earthly idea. I do know I would bench him for the lack of effort on the 50/50 passes. I would bet money he would dominate after riding the pine.

He's not going to "gush" over UT when he's a coach at USC. That probably wouldn't sit well with staff and players at the school he's coaching. A little common sense here.

It has been 17 years since he left UT. I dont remember ever hearing much from him. A little common sense would tell you he hasn't been at USC, or Kentucky the whole time. Look I'm not saying anything else about it now. I've said enough. It is how I feel about the guy now, that could change in the future. There are others that feel like I do, for much the same reasons. Disagree with me, and I don't blame you, but you don't have to be personal...I've said my piece.

I understand both sides of the tee martin thing. Personally i dont care because its 2016 and hes not coaching or playing here. Now as a vol fan and former athlete i would kill for the opportunity he had. He would probably be our oc right now to be honest.

Hey guys, just got here. What's up with Rodgers? Coming back to this thread next year...
