You are a vagabond.lol:
I expect the lights to come on for Josh with the NFL around the corner. I'm setting myself up for disappointment, I know, but I'm expecting a Robert Meachem type JR YearBama doesn't ask WRs to do things they can't do. I watched us throw back shoulder to Josh Smith like he's that type of WR. Smith and Pearson eat on mid range routes. Malone(when focused) looks like a No.1 WR. How he can't stay focused all game I have no earthly idea. I do know I would bench him for the lack of effort on the 50/50 passes. I would bet money he would dominate after riding the pine.

Malone is a super talent. Still middling in mediocrity.
Vonn Pearson is another with great talent and tools.
Josh smith is a great athlete who struggled for two years and finally playing good ball.
Pig was about as good as we've had as far as making plays, and he took himself away from the game
There has been enough talent on the roster. Just got to get the most out of them. And that means coaching them up AND putting them in positions to succeed
Von has exceptional feet, where were the digs and slants with him running away from defenders or underneath drags to take advantage of dropping linebackers and use his skill in space.
Again, there was and is talent at the WR position
I wish I could give this 100 likes. I dont know why more people cannot grasp this. :hi:
I think when there are multiple guys not producing and elevating their talents there's a common denominator. So, you think it's more of an issue with Jones and DeBord?
Personally, I agree about Pearson. I thought he was the best on the roster, but again, how consistently was he healthy? Malone has the tools. Jury is still out until he produces.

Every other position group has improved every year. One hasn't...
You've got to take a look at why that group isn't progressing.
I don't k ow where the disconnect is, but from head coach, to OC, to WR coach; there has to be some adjustments. It's been 3 years of below average production.
Our offensive line has been pretty terrible for those same 3 years. I really believe that is the root of the problem. We'll see this year. If wr still don't improve then I can buy your point
