'17 TN ATH Jacoby Stevens (LSU commit)

Max Wray has zero to do with Jacoby's decision. 2. The Chandler and LSU stuffno clue. 3. From a family member i spoke with, he's nowhere near a UT lock. The problem lies within this offense and the WR production. Can't call yourself WRU based on Williw G, Meacham, A. Miller, Carl Pocken, etc. Those guys are irrelevant to an 17/18 yr old kid. 3 names they know currently Watkins, Hopkins, M. Bryant, not yo mentionthey just played in the NC so Clempsun is prime time right now
Which makes zero sense, seeing as though the QB he would be matched up with at Clemson or UT has yet to start a game for either school.

My dad works at Oakland and said Willie Martinez and Lane Kiffin stopped by to see him today.

I can see the conversation now
Kiffin: you know we've beat them for almost a decade now
Martinez: yeah but if you were a competent coach that could've been over with

UGA recruiting very well since kirbie arrived. Butch and staff work has gotten harder since they arrived. They had nice class loaded with top talent we need big recruiting year to stay ahead or equal with talent depending on who you talk to

Richt recruited top ten every year. Dont say Kirby is doing something that hasnt been done before.

Id like to see if Kirbs can bring in the rbs his predecessor did.

Hunter and Patterson two names not that shabby both in the nfl

Hunter has essentially done nothing in the NFL. Partially because of injuries and also because he has been playing for a franchise with terrible QB play. Patterson has been a huge disappointment for the Vikings. Beyond his kickoff return prowess, he cannot run routes and he cannot catch the ball.

Those two names hurt the cause. Nothing to brag about.

I always respect your opinion, KB. I agree, somewhat, may not be enough to really brag about, but I don't think they hurt the cause. CP is still elite in the return game and I think he can still improve. Hunter should be more respected than he is. No one can help the injury aspect of life. I wish he would have stayed healthy in college. That Florida game cost me ALOT of money. He was dominating early and would of killed the Gay a$$ Turds in that game! Yes, I'm still pissed! Anyway, when he came back from the injury at UT he didn't seem to be the same. When he hit the NFL, he was very productive, for a rookie and still has some potential to produce some solid years. They may not prove to be best in the NFL, but definitely still can improve and aren't still someone we, as Vol fans, shouldn't be proud of! Drunk post, by BTBO, lol! Hopefully, make$ sense!

No worries BTBO. Appreciate the kind words and the opinion. I still hold out hope for Hunter, that the light will come on and he'll fully utilize all that talent. He's flashed at times but he gets a tremendous amount of criticism from the local media and beat writers who cover the Titans. They seem to have all but written him off this year.

If he could, he could be devastating on the outside with DGB across from him and Wright in the slot. DGB is kind of in the same boat though, gotta put it all together.

Look only reason Hunter name comes up is UT, he's my guy but if he doesn't show up this yr he's unemployed, CP a spec tms guy can't remember route tree or play offense unless its a hand off. Neither of our guys can compare to the Clempsun guys at all. All 3 of those guys are top 20 at the Wr position in the NFL. UT fans need to be realistic and stop reaching.

I've always thought that JH's knee injury has been the problem. He was never the same. A two to three percent drop off might mean going from very good in the NFL to bust. JMO.

Most seem to think his bigger problems lie between the ears and in his chest.

Yup.

Jacoby and tee must look and realize the receivers that have played at UT over the last ten yes s have played on bad teams.that had a qb who was always under duress cause the line couldn't block the rush.def naive linemen basic my got to tee off on UT quarterbacks for years and once they got the talent and a line that could block for Dobbs has been inconsistent and the wide receivers have been the walking wounded the last few years.and they all know that part of Dobbs problems has been he has not worked with the wide outs on a consistant basis to get the Timing down.and they must realize Dobbs is a senior and will never throw a pass to any of those coming in next year.and th same thing goes for Watson at Clemson he will not be around to throw to any of them.even though I think that UT.s offense will be closer to what it is now than with a pocket passer.but there will be no guarantee that either UT or Clemson will be the same kind of offense.but if they are not willing to come try to make the Vol passing game a threat and play for the hometeam/goodguys then to hell with them.

Umm, reading this makes you sound that you don't know. If Stevens goes to Ga, Wray will be a reason why. They are good friends, workout buddies. Wray was texting Stevens pics of the Ga crowd. He said decision is made so...

Chandler? Don't know where he got LSU, maybe he thought OM? He hasn't committed but He's a legacy kid, plus it'$ OM.

Tee is 100% lock? Ummmk, lucky if it's 50/50. UT can win that battle (I think) but Butch has to prove he can produce a league championship team like Clemson has.

No Wray

sounds like he needs some 1 on 1 attention from the coaches. doesn't sound wowed with UT as a whole but likes Martinez.

First stop of the day was Oakland High school where I spent about twenty minutes with Jacoby Stevens. Had a chance to meet with his coach, Kevin Creasy, first, and he told me that Stevens will be waiting until the end of June/first of July to make any kind of commitment. He wants his star player focusing on spring ball and Oakland until their dead period. That being said, he did say the Stevens is quite a fan of the Bulldogs. Stevens confirmed that's his plan, and he's tentatively looking at July 19 (his birthday) for a possible commitment.

We talked about his top options, and, as Trent mentioned in the earlier post, he confirmed that Georgia is still on top for his services. Mel Tucker was by last week to check in on Stevens, and the two keep in contact on a daily basis, as Stevens noted they text all the time since the ban on communication has been lifted. The four-star athlete believes the new Georgia staff know how to build a winner. His family also likes the school, and his trainers at National Playmakers Academy have a close relationship with several people on the Bulldogs staff, primarily Sam Pittman and Jim Chaney.

LSU is in striking distance, while Tennessee finds themselves in third place at the moment. All of the mentioned schools will get visits, as will the likes of FSU and Florida prior to any decision making.

Really like Georgia's chances here for the time being.

-From Georgia's rivals board. One of their writers or whatever
