I hear you, and I agree. I've heard it all, really. Given the landscape of the SEC (the ups and downs from year to year with different teams such as Ole Miss), I don't think potentially 9-4 is a bad season. Most of the really good and great teams lost to bad teams this year. That does not mean we didn't underachieve, which is a problem.

It would have been better if that early stretch were more dominant to be able to point to injuries a bit more.m as the reason for the fall off.

I got a feeling Butch has some guys lined up already at certain position like QB/CoOC and it's why we are seeing a sudden shift after home visits. We all of a sudden have momentum again in Smith and supposedly Akers recruitment. Makes me think they got some scoops

I fear for the miserable if Butch resumes his upward trajectory. They will be out on the street without anything to belittle.

I just never feel very comfortable when UT is recruiting against the likes of Saban and Meyer but with Trey I am cautiously optimistic. Butch has showed us in the past that he can recruit. Hope he lands a big one today! Go Vols!

I am hearing coaches from all three schools came away from their visit with Smith feeling they have a chance to be the fortunate one when Smith makes his announcement on Tuesday. But I am hearing more Tennessee. Would an Ohio State announcement by Smith shock me? No. But what I have heard this evening is more towards him staying in-state.

I think Boulware is gonna be great. There isn't a ton of depth on the O-Line, but there are some very solid players, for sure. There should be enough to put a very good starting line-up on the field.

Forgot about Boulware. We are doing well, along with Hall at assembling talent at tackle.

The foundation is set up for sure. I really wish we could have red shirt Tatum this year so that he could bulk up but at least we did get to red shirt a couple others. Richmond looked better as the year progressed too. Now we just need to get some continuity in the line. If we can get a solid line up that stays healthy through spring and fall camp than our Oline can be exponentially better next year.

A solid O-Line is the one of the keys to being competitive in this league.
