Might as well. At this point everyone knows he's going to be a Vol.

I hope so, but I doubt. It would be huge for momentum and getting the attention of other top shelf guys in this class. The VQ mods seem pretty sure that he's intent on taking things all the way to December.

We'll see. From what I've seen it looks like he has a ways to go. I think he's a guard in college. I don't see the footwork or bend to play tackle. It's hard to believe his offer list is so bad for someone of his size if he's really that good of a prospect.

I think Tucker will be processed. We are on too many good O-linemen. If we land Trey and the other WV kid Ross, I think he will be asked to make other preparations. Plus we still have an outside shot at Wills from Kentucky.

I'll say this, if he is a silent, I hope Butch knows that it would be a good thing to just go ahead and release it and not hold onto it for a later date for any reason.

Would be nice to start fall camp with recruiting positivity and momentum and squash all doubters.

Agreed. I can't imagine we'd process any less than 6-7 current commits if they are able to have a strong close. The crazy thing to me is they don't seem to even be pursuing any other LB prospects outside of Foster in the specialty role. I'm shocked they seem to be high on Page and Burnam.

His mother just recently left her job as an on-air anchor/reporter for one of the big Atlanta market TV news stations and has A LOT of friends in sports media in Atlanta. Butch and UT would get a ton of negative press in what is probably their largest recruiting area if they dropped him just to make room. Pretty sure they were aware of that when they took his commitment.

From that angle, I can understand why you'd keep him then.

I like where things are with Smith but we must close the deal. I think we keep Tucker I really believe the staff is high on him. I personally like him. I could see us taking/keeping 5... Smith, Eze, Tucker, McKenzie, (Willis/Moore/Locklier/Ross/Telfort).

And this is exactly why I'm wondering if something happens soon. It would be a huge cornerstone that would enhance this class.
