'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Great news on Smith. This class is almost full now so I think we are going to have to start dropping guys. I would let Tucker go. I know he lives in Atlanta but so do Burnam and Page. I think all 3 are going to need to be dropped to make room for RB and OL. I think Rogers will leave on his own. Smith could be the guy that leads some of the bigger names our way.

Glad school starts soon because you need class.

As has been stated before, how about we not speculate on who should/ will go from our class. It's not fair to anyone. Let the process handle itself.

Must be something with being a member there

Either someone let something slip or there is a lot of follow the leader going on.

Wish there was some way to know for sure. Still think the hiring of his sister is going to be key. As others have said, the negative recruiting has probably slowed down considerably since we settled the suit. I think that was something that Trey had on his mind.

Nope Tucker is a keeper

I know the guy is an intriguing prospect but we are running out of room and still have several positions to fill. If Smith wants on board and Eze wants to be a Vol then somebody is going to have to be culled. I know it is bad but there isn't much way around it.

If a coach wasted my time telling me how another school was overrated or couldnt win big games i would have little time for that coach.

Yea but you're a mature wise old fart. These kids get star struck pretty easily. They can't see through the bull like you and I. We've been suckered many a times before and can spot it fairly easily.

Trey seems like a very intelligent guy who is taking a rational approach to his recruitment process. I don't see negative recruiting helping another school's cause with him.

I agree but did you read how he felt walking in the stadium? About eating up where the rich folks sit during games. Came across pretty awestruck to me. He does seem well grounded and seems to have a good support structure behind him that probably helps put things in perspective. Having said that, I can see Nick Saban and other coaches pounding in that Tennessee really hasn't been relevant in a decade and nothing's guaranteed this year either.

LOL.

I'm sure everyone would love it. The kid said he's likely waiting till December. Maybe there is a significant day in December he's picked out.

He can have a state holiday in December if he commits soon.

Also can we get the DT removed from the thread title? Please and thank you mods.
