With Moore going to USCe I hope we can round out the OL class with Eze and Smith. I could see JMac still being in play as well if he has a good senior year.
Staying on the offensive line, we've mentioned for a while Nashville offensive lineman Obinna Eze is a wild card to where he will end up and Memphis is a legitimate option. There are some rumblings the Tigers could be the choice for Eze sooner rather than later.
Per Hubbs
Cue the Butch is getting out-recruited by 'whoever it is' coaching Memphis crowd.
Somebody is letting this kid down. Lamborghini is not meant to do 45 mph with a soccer mom. A player of his caliber should be receiving the best of his choices.
Yes, I know it's his choice, but I would argue he is not as well informed as he should be, if he chooses Memphis
All Eze needs to do is attend the UT/gator game followed by any of the Memphis games. Set, game, match - he'll be ready to sign on the dotted line.
All Eze knows is Memphis has been just as successful as UT the last couple of years.
This year should open his eyes. Like you said he doesn't know much about programs. They are in the AAC, which is a slightly better version of conference USA but Memphis' record is better than UT the last couple of years. I agree that if he attends some games the atmosphere will favor UT by a mile and TV exposure favors UT even though Memphis' has improved each year. All I'm saying is at this point with a kid that isn't that familiar with football is the programs are pretty even.

Most think Memphis made the absolute best hire they could have with Mike Norvell and while his recruiting isn't on par with any of the SEC(besides Vandy) he finished the last class with the best one Memphis ever had and is on par to beat that by a significant amount this year and if Riley Ferguson is as good as a lot on here thought then I see no reason that another 9-10 win season couldn't be possible. Not saying it will happen but it definitely could.
I expect Ferguson to step in and pick up where Paxton left off. Riley will use the opportunity to get to the NFL. He's a talented QB.
I actually have a lot of friends who attend U of Memphis and the word out on Riley so far is not looking too great to be honest. Apparently in spring practice the guy was an absolute INT machine. throwing it to other team regularly.
I just read a Commercial Appeal article that said he's the clear starter and the New coach is just letting it play out before naming him the starter any time now.
Yeah he's the supposed starter, I'm just saying the fans aren't hyping him up to be the next Paxton. My hardcore Memphis tiger football fan friend said he's expecting him to throw for like 4 TDs and 3 INTs a game. which honestly sounds about like fergie haha
