'17 TN OT Obinna Eze (Memphis commit)

Somebody is letting this kid down. Lamborghini is not meant to do 45 mph with a soccer mom. A player of his caliber should be receiving the best of his choices.

Yes, I know it's his choice, but I would argue he is not as well informed as he should be, if he chooses Memphis

You're right. Unless the soccer mom is Christie Brinkley.

Again Bruin wth does our organization hv to do with the kid liking Memphis? Help me out with your assumption. So i can set it straight.

Wild guess, but I think he believes there is friction between NPA and UT coaching staff, and your organization is pushing players to other schools.

He just started playing football a year ago. Just moved here from Nigeria, relax.

Lots of guys have played football for a year and still manage to to see that Tennessee or Auburn or Oklahoma or wherever are better than Memphis. So you relax.

Well he doesn't. He's like 17. Get a grip nerd

So are they. And apparently so are you if you are still calling people nerd. Major programs like Tennessee are just objectively better and have more to offer a kid than programs like Memphis. As has been said, it seems like someone close to him is doing him a major disservice.

I'm not saying Memphis compares to Tennessee. You gotta take the orange shades off every now and then. He has a very open mind.

That's fair enough. However, if there's one thing you can see from my 11,000+ posts, it's that I don't really wear orange shades..but it is what it is imo. All I'm saying is what has been stated before and that is that if this kid is enjoying Memphis, it would stand to reason that he would enjoy a better program (one with more to offer) more. That and I feel like someone should be like "Yeah, Memphis is cool but have you seen...". That's all.

Do you know Eze? Do you know what he wants to major in? Do you know if he would prefer a small campus vs a large one? Do you know if he has any NFL aspirations at all or sees football as an avenue to get a free education, Memphis does have ranked programs. He is looking at other schools beside Memphis as well, perhaps those around him ARE looking out for him, on the academic and personality side.

I'm honestly surprised more higher rated recruits don't go the big fish, small pond route. Start sooner. Stick out more on gameday. NFL will find you if you're at Memphis or Alabama. Good chance Eze sits at least a couple years here. He's the guy very early at Memphis. I don't care for the city, but totally understand why some recruits make this sort if decision.

Eze is pretty raw. I'd guess he sits a year or two regardless of where he goes, and it has little to do with his actual ability and potential.

Isn't Memphis about to do some upgrades and the possibility of big 12 makes them look better than you would think in past

I've seen some stuff recently that mentioned they are trying to become a little more big time. The big12 opportunity would be a huge boost if it plays out.

I'd like to see Memphis (West) and Louisville (East) join the SEC as the 15th and 16th teams. Rising football programs and established basketball programs.
