'17 TN RB/CB Chase Hayden (Arkansas commit)

I will be interested to see if he actually goes to Arkansas and how they use him. He may want to play RB, but he doesn't fit that for them as any every down back.

When I first saw his film, I liked his vision but did wonder about overall athleticism. He does not play good competition. Would like to see another Hayden at UT, but I clearly understand why he may not be a take.

Can't hurt but could also have zero effect.

What if he sucks at recruiting and would have affected us negatively? :). Maybe Gray is a very good recruiter and advised us away from Chase because he isn't very good. :). Now that I've made up that rumor, I'll bank it as solid because I saw it on a message board. :)

Bonjour.

We obviously feel pretty damn good about Akers/Chandler

This. We have them rated higher and taking Hayden would hurt those recruitments. Staff also isn't sure if Hayden is Slot or RB in this offense and he wants to be a RB. Staff staying true to their board and evaluation. It will be ok. Both sides will be fine. Interested to see his Sr yr to see how these camp performances translate to the field.

Ideally I think we would like to have 3 backs we could rotate equally. Bielema said one of his goals is to be the first team with three 1,000 yard rushers and he almost did it at Wisconsin, but we didn't really have a choice last year with Collins being the only starting caliber back on the team once Jonathan Williams was injured and then Rawleigh Williams broke his neck.

He went for almost 3000 yards and about 40TDs as a JR. If he stays healthy, I think he has a great SR season.

Was thinking more of what he looks like. I know he put up great stats as a Jr but when I watch highlights I have trouble seeing it like I do when I watch Chandler and Akers. then you see him at camps and go wow where is this coming from. So I don't know if he is just about to really look explosive on film this year or what

Listening to sports radio monday on the drive home from work, cant remember the guys name said the problem with Hayden was he isn't open to playing slot wr which is what the staff views him as. He strictly wants to be a running back

BB had a killer rushing attack at Wisky as well w/out Pittman. Pittman is one of the best OL coaches out there but BB will continue to have that type of run game imo.

Wisconsin is not the SEC west. Not saying he wont have a great run game but losing somebody like Pittman may be difficult.
