'17 TN RB/CB Chase Hayden (Arkansas commit)

Imo it's because the staff was upfront with evaluation of him being a WR and his dad probably appreciated that. They could have sold them a bill of goods about letting him play RB but they didn't. So no hard feelings.

And if Tennessee recruits any little brothers, dad will respect them being honest.

Graduating in spring and looking at possibly transferring from Ark is the talk on VQ.

Maybe he’s a Vol next fall?
His numbers have declined every year since a pretty good freshman year. Does anyone know if he has been dealing with injuries, or just a victim of Arkansas football?

His rushing yards went up sophomore year, but ypc dropped from 5.3 to 4.4

Elected to red shirt this year so he’s probably been planning on this for a while.

If he wants in, and I’d love it if he did just because his dad and I think it’d help get his brother here too.... he better tell the staff before we keep offering these JUCO backs.

This and scheme change. It screwed up 5 star Whaley too. I’ve been wondering if Hayden would come through. Didn’t he commit to Chaney at Arky or was Chaney gone already?
I believe Chaney had left and Dan Enos was the OC at Arky when Hayden committed.

He's had multiple injuries-- broken leg, concussions-- that have caused him to miss the better part of two seasons. He's redshirting this year to get healthy and preserve a year of eligibility. Strong possibility he and his brother end up at UT. Chase wanted to be a Vol all along.
