Nationally ranked program most seasons. Loads of talent between them,Cedar Hill and Euless Trinity. If this commitment seems to hold, I'm catching a Desoto game this year.

Pig was good not great for 1 season.

I'm ready for some guys to come in and make a mark - players we'll still be talking about in 20-30 years.

Cobb, Webb, Pickens, Harper, Carter, Stewart, Hayden, Garner, Kent, Nash, Graham, Lewis, Henry, Stephens, etc etc etc

I don't thing Pig's ability was in question, he was set to have a great year if he didn't screw things up. And yes, I'm strictly comparing his ability, not production or off the field issues.

Pig's career is ultimately a little better than Maurice Staley's time on the hill.

Honestly if his talent level is only the same as Pig's but he has a great work ethic, then I think he'll be great for us. Pig was poised to have a really big 2015 but he just couldn't keep it all together off the field. He's still the only WR we've had under Butch go over 600 yards receiving in a season and he was the best WR we've seen rushing the ball under Butch as well.

If he'd kept his head on straight, he had a good chance good chance of cracking the top 3. Going into 2015, he had 111 career receptions. If he'd matched his 2014 totals, he would have finished with 165. That would have made him #3 all time behind Marcus Nash.

He just couldn't step away from the herb though.

Now the hard part of KD's recruitment begins....gotta hang onto him after the big boys in Texas and other P5 schools come calling IMO.

The Vols secured three, the big one coming from four-star receiver KD Nixon out of DeSoto (Texas) High. The 5-foot-8, 182-pound Nixon has the balance and power of a running back, but the hands and route running ability of a receiver. One of the Lone Star State’s best players in space, he’ll be a nice weapon for the Vols as a versatile playmaker down the road

We're finally starting to land the kind of slot receivers who can be dangerous in this offense. This kid, Latrell Williams, and Vincent Perry could all shine in our system.

Interesting you mentioned Williams as it appears Nixon has Williams' type of speed - not overly impressive when timed at camps, but outstanding on VN from viewing highlight clips!

If he stays strongly committed, I'll check out a Desoto game. Hopefully north of 30. Hate driving to south Dallas.
