Is that really true? Dobbs was 4th in the list when he got his start. Notwithstanding Dobbs durability, QBs get hurt. OSU won a championship with #3.

Where was Worley going to transfer...and why? Peterman was an early favorite to win the starting job...and then the Florida game. The rebuilding plan that both Dobbs and Ferguson signed on for, had them redshirting and eventually competing for the starting nod at the beginning of their redshirt freshman season. Whoever finished higher would stay and the other would move on. Never come to fruition due to Ferguson's leg injury and Dobbs finishing out for Worley and Peterman. Dobbs was STILL on board to redshirt his sophomore year and due to his academic particulars (specific major), would have required an extremely toxic situation to go school shopping. Riley was a victim of his own maturity and questionable decisions and bolted in a season he would definitely have supplanted Peterman when Worley got dinged against Georgia. If he was even competent, Worley doesn't have to rush back too early. Allowed to get healthy, he doesn't have to gut out some games that undoubtedly further damaged him and Dobbs redshirt doesn't get touched. Then you would have had TWO redshirt sophomores fighting for the starters nod last season and either Dormady or Sheriron (or neither) backing up the the winner. If it was Ferguson, Dobbs might still stay? Maybe Dormady and/or Jones don't sign up to redshirt in that situation...changes the recruiting pitch. Just different dynamics than what we have currently. A possible repeating national championship team is going into next season with ONE experienced QB...why wouldn't those 3 kids wait for an opportunity? Rarely happens is why.

Are you really arguing that it's better to be a starting QB at Memphis than UT? Lynch got drafted high because he is a really good QB. Dobbs is not gonna be drafted high because he is not a really good overall QB. Paxton could have competed for a Heisman with those numbers at a higher profile school.
I just hope that we are being honest with him and won't drop him if another highly rated prospect decides he wants to become a VOL.
Drew Brees says hello.
Bigoted against IMO
