"After Thaxton finished his interview where he told the media he was committed. He said walking off that he didn't want anything out there about his decision because he's having an announcement at his school.

Obviously, we never want to ruin anyone's moment and that wasn't our intentions with this.

I apologize to him.

He is a take. I want to make that clear. It's not a situation where he committed and wasn't suppose to. He committed, told the media, then said hold the news."

Just watched his film. Plays disciplined but competition looks suspect. I think the video was from his junior year but will probably need a year or two to get ready to contribute.

Sterling was a former Bama commit with a much better offer list.

And we are going to lose him to Muschamp and take a guy with the next best offers after us being Ole Miss and Vandy.

I've been patiently waiting for the close of this class because I truly believed we were going to finish strong. That simply isn't happening.

I'd rather have this kid than a RB or WR that we take just because we need to add a body at those spots. I'd love to take Conliffe and Sterling also, my only concern on Sterling is he is somewhat of a tweener at 6'2 and 260 and where would he eventually end up. He did have monster stats in HS.

And take Ray, let's get 4 DL

Can not find his 40 time... I was just curious how athletic he was since he may not play the best competition.

Also Rivals does not list Ole Miss offer, but 247 and Scout does if he does that adds another decent offer to his list.

I don't see a way to add 3 DL, unless we lose at least 1 or 2 off our commit list. I feel pretty good that we will take 2 if those two are Conliffe and either Sterling or Ray. If we take all 3, that means we do not take a 3rd RB, we do not take a 4th WR and we do not get a CB (Corker). Much more important to get a CB and RB than get a 3 DL.
