"I don't know that he's told either staff. I gather from talking to multiple people that Tennessee feels cautiously optimistic. Numerous folks on Tennessee's staff and support staff have spoken to Eric and his mother this week and I believe those conversations have been very good.

But, I don't believe, based on talking to people in Knoxville and Blacksburg, that he's given anyone a final answer as of a few hours ago. But, again, I think Tennessee is feeling better after the conversations this week."

Butch also wasn't really thought of as a great recruiter until ~March/April 2013. Most people thought he would be a solid Xs and Os coach and a mediocre recruiter, but now it seems like most CFB fans and even a large percentage of our owns fans feels the opposite about him.

But, this lawsuit has put him and the school in a position where they have to suspend the player immediately even if he has done nothing wrong. Do you want to take the chance that your son loses everything by sending him to a school that has to cut him loose and he loses everything just because they can't even appear right now that they would go easy on a kid, just because he plays football?

Why take the chance? We will take care of your son and he doesn't have to worry about a dark cloud hanging over him like he would at UT.

That's probably way more accurate of an assessment than the supposed rape culture the plaintiffs are accusing the university of. It's going to be very interesting to see how the university handles the Alexis Johnson situation seeing as though his charges are going to be dropped, assuming he keeps his nose clean the next 6 months.

I would imagine that if the coaches are even thinking about re-instating him, they will have someone attached at his hip to ensure he keeps his nose clean. Would you do anything stupid with McKenzie and Tuttle attached to you everywhere you went?

It may still turn out to be that he's a hokie. But I don't know why people put stock into Basilio. His record seems to show he's a throw and see what sticks kind of "insider". Basically not an insider. But that's my take anyways.

2nd 4* if we do indeed land him tomorrow. Love this kids upside. i know KD nixon isnt a consensus 4*, but i do feel he is a 4* talent like some recruiting services do. This kid however, is a consensus 4* and a great prospect. Get this kid and Rutger Reitmaier, and this class automatically starts looking a lot better.

This could happen anywhere with the wrong girl. These young men really need to think about the possible situations they put themselves in behind closed doors
