'17 WV OT Billy Ross (UNC commit)

Not good news IMO. Unless he heads to Knoxville in the next couple of days

I'd have to agree. There wasn't a mention of him visiting both schools as a considerate gesture. Just the one he was committing to. It was said that visit would be kept quiet though. Of course with fans and the internet, that's tough.

Possibly. He did seem to be holding out for a bama offer. If he's tired of waiting, I could see us getting him.

I think he's passed that. If he was going to USCjr then he would've already done it. I think he's just been waiting to hear from our coaches and see what Ross does.

I may have spoke too soon. Just read this.

"Not to my knowledge. From talking to some people close to his recruitment over the past week or two, I think Tennessee still is in pretty good shape, and I don't think Ross was giving away his decision with that tweet. I've heard he might be in the process of visiting both schools one more time because he's still a bit torn. I'm told there's a chance he could return to Tennessee sometime next week." - Callahan

Most of us were hopeful that was possibly playing out last night. Hopefully that's the case. Would hate to lose this kid to UNC.

I was higher on Ross until Charlotte, he really looked slow footed against the pass rushers. And I know the OL are at a distinct disadvantage at the combines, but he really struggled, and it makes me wonder about his competition

Agree. I'll be disappointed if we sign this one.

I don't think Ross is viewed as an OT at the next level when all is said and done, Luginbill thinks he is one of the best guards in the 2017 class. I don't put as much stock in ESPN as 247, but Luginbill did play college football - some of these analysts have never put on a helmet, save for PeeWee.

Yeah, Ross is a G or possibly C.

Not going to worry if we lose Ross to UNC. I still think Eze,Wills, and Smith are better options. We already have Locklear who could slide inside to guard or center.

I am curious about Smith and Wills. I feel bama leads for Smith. Wills is getting predictions for bama now. Maybe one could affect the other. Or Maybe not.
