Just too many good OT on the board to reach for Ross at this point. Jedrick Wills is another name I would rather see Butch working at this point. If we fail to pick up any of the elite OT then maybe offer Ross.
I believe Ross has already been given the green light to commit. That's why he set a date.
True, we probably take him at this point. Still wish we would have held off for some of the bigger fish out there. Still looking for recruiting to pick up with Title IX settled. Heard someone say yesterday that we can now begin to recruit the way we need to. We were having to dial down some things. FWIW.
I've read where some claim the lawsuit was hurting recruiting. I just don't get it. If the coaches jobs were never in question, the NCAA wasn't talking loss of scholarships, no probation, no bowl ban. Why exactly would a recruit care? A bunch of nonsense IMO.
Wouldn't want to imply anything but we might just have our hands untied a bit now....
Not to mention the negative recruiting that was being used against us could not have helped. I could even see some teams saying that Butch's job could be in jeopardy.
Not looking at ranking. Looking at the team this year and how talented the team is. Hard to argue against what Butch has built in 3 years and 2 months of recruiting. Agreed?

Here's a bright idea maybe Ross and Locklear can play multiple positions such as C and Guard leaving open ability to still land EZE and Smith. Just because recruit site has someone listed for a position doesn't mean we have to play them there. Both Ross and Locklear are prob G with ability to play T if need be.
Some people think North Carolina is the favorite, but after talking with Ross last week and checking with a couple of sources close to his recruitment, I'm not so sure. Based on what I've heard, I think he's still legitimately torn between Tennessee and North Carolina. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he picked either school at this point.
