Emerson is elite. I can understand them utilizing their resources on the other local kids if they see similar talent.

If you want highlights/videos of any recruit that we have offered & even some that we haven't please take a look at my signature. This is what I'm wondering mainly. If they don't see Miller or others at the position as major improvements maybe they won't be going after them as hard. Especially if they like their chances with the instate guys. Not saying that's right or wrong just wondering how others think guys like Miller fit into the pecking order compared with our instate guys. Instate or not, I think we all agree that the staff needs to be in on the most talented DL prospects in the South period. Hope he gets an offer soon, looks and sounds like the real deal.

Miller is strength wise college ready now. He can squat 575 for 2 and bench 345 ATM. He hasn't even gotten done with his offseason yet.

Not really seeing who recruits this area. He got presented to the staff when he was a 3 star with big offers already. Now he's 128 in the country and he hasn't even competed at the Opening combines..... It sickening that Michigan offered before us and he's in our region. We didn't even know who he was as a player but Alabama, Florida, Michigan and Auburn had offered prior to his junior year. We aren't working hard enough recruiting wise. IMO Not like when Jones first got here and it shows.

This is an excuse..... I'm sure two different people cover Alabama and Tennessee right now. If you are going to cherry pick Alabama why not go after the best players in the state especially at a position of need. I don't get it and won't get it. I'll be glad when this overrated recruiter moves on because he's not developing his position group well either.

If he is blowing up like this, the only thing that I can figure is that we don't want to offer for some reason, and that makes no sense. It does sound like somebody is dropping the ball, but I definitely could be wrong. I truly don't get it. I realize that we don't offer every bigtime prospect in the south, but I think we have missed on this one.

No it's not, it's just how it works. Who knows where this kid is on the board, or if he would be interested anyways. If they lose confidence in the current DL offers, then they will expand. This isn't the Thigpim issue you make it out to be... He isn't watching junior film right now, nor is it his solely decision who gets offers.

What film is he watching then? Kid will be a senior coming up.... We are always late on Alabama kids. Michigan beating us to the punch on kids is troubling. IMO

They came and pulled Collins at WR too. A guy Alabama wanted bad and he's elite. Our staff deserves no excuses or tolerance for their lackluster effort of late recruiting wise. I've seen teams have terrible years on the field but still pull elite classes. We aren't putting in the work. Hopefully the new assistants will change this.

But his last film is his junior yeah. My point was, the initial evaluation comes from the Bob Walton team before they even gets to the position guys. Do you really think Thig has the final say on a DL offer right now? Come on man.

No offense BB, but we get your point. You know/work with the kid. We haven't offered the kid. We should but it's too late anyway. Thigpen is hot garbage along with the rest of our staff. Did I miss anything? The horse has been beaten. Let's move along

Also, we aren't ever going pull top kids out of Bama consistently. It was great getting Ignont last year tho.

I like the new hires.... what are you talking about?

I also hope we DO NOT offer him at this point.

My biggest problem is how late this staff is on a lot of big time guys. Why is my question? Why are other schools consistently ahead of us offering?

Why not???? If this kid in particular leaves the state I wouldn't be surprised at all personally.

It's funny we have this mentality but Bama will go after anybody in Tennessee hard and won't back off.
