Chryst was 11-2 as a starter. If that's "mediocre to bad" and JG is better we're in great shape.
JG winning the job would be huge for the program. The more snaps he gets in games the better hes going to getDespite that record, Stanford was eager to go to a younger guy. And Stanford fans are glad he's gone.
I personally hope its JG because I think that bodes well for the team in the long run. But I think both play this year regardless who gets the initial week 1 nod.
How is it a myth? JG has 3 years left after this season. If hes good it is better for the long run
If Brandon Johnson catches the dime JG threw to him we beat SCIt's a myth because of the hope you guys are projecting onto him. He sucked last year and a sucky team. Horrible decisions, couldn't run, bad passer. Blame everything around him as much as you want (there's plenty bro go around) but at the end of the day he couldn't lead a scoring drive against USCe or Kentucky. Will he improve? Hell yes he will improve, but I doubt he will improve in the capacity you think he will. He needs a lot of help. I think Helton is the one to help him most, but he needs a lot more than a summer to be better than he was last year.
He wasnt the reason they went 11-2. Plus they didnt fight to keep him there and had walk ons playing QB this spring. Not really something that inspires confidence
If he were good he could have held onto the job or taken it. He was so bad Shaw already knew that he had no chance of reclaiming itThe whole theybhad walk on in spring reasoning for Chryst not being good is weak. Why would he stay for spring when Costello and Mills were going to be back this fall? Shaw already said Costello was starter so he decidied to go somewhere where he may actually start in fall. It made zero sense for him to stay.

Play calling in that game was terrible. Took Muschamp a half to key in on Butchs pathetic offense (just like he always has). Coach with a pair and your players will play with a pair. Coach scared and the players will play scared. Im ready to see JG with a coaching staff that will put him in position to succeed. I still dont get the hate that he gets. He was thrown into a terrible situation and did decently well for his first time playing. Dobbs looked like trash his first few games tooLol dime.... Yes Johnson should've caught that, but don't you leave out the 3 drives that started within the 50 and barely went into field goal range
